These do not have the natural foot shape that made Keens so distinctive when they first appeared. This shoe is more like other brands with a pointed end, like running shoes. I'm used to hiking and backpacking in sturdy sandals from another brand and Keen sandals so I need something to let my toes spread out. If you're looking for that natural foot shape, these are not a good choice. I'm sure the quality is the same as the Keen sandals I have, which have given years of heavy trail and river use. My only criticism is about the shape.
These hikers are a slight departure from the classic Keen shoes in that the fit is a bit narrower in the toe box. They are still wider and more comfortable than most other brands I've tried and so far they have been great for my purposes. I use these for light hikes on very rocky terrain, short trail runs, and casual around town errands. I think they are a bit too stiff to be dedicated, long distance trail running shoes but they're likely sturdy enough for long hikes. I also like the look which is a bit sleeker than the traditional Keen design.
Was unable to check the real quality of this pair since it runs small. They looked good, but I was rather surprised to realize that they don't fit my feet. Size 13 Keen usually worked very well for me. Had to return...
Good hiking shoe that my husband wears for various terrain at work. This is his second pair. Ordering 1/2 size larger because they run narrow in the toe area. It would be a plus if they came in both Keen styles in the toe area.
Great fit! Good waterproof shoes. Got these for my dad and he really likes them
I was looking for a vegan hiking shoe. I can endorse this one because it has great stability and is fairly comfortable. It is one of the best non-leather hiking shoes I tried.
I’ve twice now tore up my heels with these shoes (yes, size is correct and they are laced tightly). The heel is so poorly constructed, there is abrasive stitching both horizontally and vertically and even with a double pair of REI socks I’ve gotten bad blisters on both heels on more than one occasion. I thoroughly regret buying these.
