Loved the fit, but...

I decided to try this jacket, after trying a nano puff MED from the competition brand. Thermoball also in MED fits much better, arm length is a bit shorter, it is also shorter in torso length which sits perfectly on my hip bone with a flattering sporty look, fabric feels very soft, light and warm. Medium is roomy enough for underlayers and free arm/shoulder movement. I am usually a size 4-6, 34.5 bust, 28 waist, 38 hips, 5'4", 135 lbs) My only BUT is that I got the dark camo and the print is barely noticeable. It is too subtle, almost looks like a regular black coat. Shipping was fast. Price and service unbeatable. Ordering the coat from REI was a pleasure!

Love this coat. The arms are perfect length and the jacket is a little longer in the torso than my previous Northface jacket I bought a few years ago. That was a concern of mine in ordering this jacket (that it wouldn't be long enough) and I couldn't be happier. The only complaint I have is that it is slightly too small in the hip area but I can live with that. I am 5'7" and 130 pounds and I bought a small.

I am so disappointed with this jacket. I got it for my birthday a month ago and it already has a hole inside where you put your hands. I have another jacket same style and it has lasted 4+ years no problem. I don’t like to return items but I won’t buy it again plus it’s not waterproof. Not good

I love how lightweight and packable this jacket is. This is a jacket that needs layers on a really cold day. However, it's perfect on it's own for fall weather that is turning chilly. Other jackets that provide this warmth would be bulkier and heavier, but this jacket is deliciously lightweight. Didn't know how much I needed this jacket until I got it!
