Bought this jacket for hiking. Fits me perfectly. I’m a S petite person. Since it has been cooler the last few weeks in CA, I have been wearing it almost daily. Loved that it keeps me warm, and it’s thin and lightweight. Unfortunately I do find pieces of feathers on my sweaters or even on the seats in my car (when I leave it in my car). I haven’t washed it...not sure how long this jacket will last. And yes it does have an odor. It’s not better after a month.
I got this jacket a month ago and haven’t taken it off since. I bought it for hiking but it works well as everyday jacket. It is very comfortable and flattering. The size was as expected. It’s not a full winter jacket, though: it’s OK for mild CA winter (it is indeed waterproof) but not for freezing conditions. I’m very happy with it except for a minor detail: sometimes I see tiny feathers popping through the seams. Nothing major but still.
So, I love the fit (expect that the sleeves are a bit too short for my arms). It’s pretty warm for our mild winters here in Oklahoma. Love the color too. However, it has a wet-dog/chemical smell! Maybe from the down feathers inside? Washed it once, but smell still bugs me. Going to try to return it or something.
