Fantastic winter coat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the 2nd year that I've bought this coat for my son & it is fantastic. It keeps him warm without being too heavy, it zips up all the way to his chin (and the snap button at the top helps keep it closed) so he doesn't need a scarf, and with the hood up he doesn't even need a hat. The material is waterproof and extremely durable (great for rain/snow). Even after a full winter of almost daily wear, the coat looks brand new after being washed in the machine. Amazing! Just note that it runs slightly wide around the body so if your child is very skinny it may be too loose.
Alittle big but very warm

great coat for winter
I bought this coat in blue, size M for my 10 year old son. His other coat was a quilted jacket from old navy that would get wet easily and was quite thin. We live in the Rocky Mountains and he wasn't staying warm playing outside. The coat has an attached hood, which was something he asked for (he is always losing things) and soft lined pockets to keep his hands warm. The coat is not bulky like other brands we have had in the past, but it is thick enough to provide a layer of warmth and heat for the outdoors.
Great coat!
My 7 year old son is average height, and a bit thin so I ordered the small. It is just a tad long in the sleeves which is perfect. He does not like heavy winter coats, or any winter coat for the matter, but he loves this one. It keeps him warm on frigid northeast mornings. But it is light enough not to weigh him down. He is able to run and play with no issues. It is soundly constructed, as my son is extremely rough on clothing and coats. I will definitely continue with Columbia as he gets older.
Great and (cheap) winter coat for kids

He probably could have gotten a 4th year out of it too, but we decided to get a new (bigger) one this year. It's been a great coat that he can wear all winter even when it's really cold (we are in New York). It's also water proof which is great for the cold but rainy days of Fall and Spring. We got the XXS when he turned 4 (had for winter of age 4, age 5, and age 6) and now we just got the XS for him as a 7year old
Great fit and quality!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this coat a little on the big side so that my 10 year old can wear it a couple seasons in a row. I love the overall quality and fit of this coat. Very well insulated without being bulky and heavy. The length is just right, hits just below his butt, for extra warmth and coverage especially when skiing! The attached hood with the muffler in front keeps out the snow, and keeps him warm while playing in the snow on blustery days. Would definitely recommend!
Columbia has better for the same price...
Purchased for 6yo grandson who is active little guy whether outside playing or snowboarding. He didn't like it bc it wasn't very "bendy" and was "noisey". The arms are very long! Do not like the "OutGrow" system bc the sleeves are extra wide esp at the wrist. Only removed one star bc of reasonable price and warmth. He much preferred another one, same colors but much more comfortable (sorry, can't see the name of it rt now but will review that one too).
A Great Find
Before purchasing this jacket, I had been on several websites trying to get my grandson to agree on a Winter Jacket. I had just bought a Columbia jacket myself and was happy, so I checked to see if they sold kids apparel. When I found this coat, he immediately smiled, said yes, and I ordered it. The jacket fits great, and really does keep him warm. We have had some 26-30 degree mornings with cold breezes. He wears this jacket everyday, telling me it's light but really warm and comfortable to wear. I thought it might be bulky but, he says he can play at recess or ride in the car and he feels good not confined. Thank you for making a jacket that is not only good looking enough to please a parent or grandparent, but a 9 year old boy AND have it function in all the right ways. Everytime he wears it, I smile because he looks great and he is warm.
Great value for a quality product

We shortlisted a few and this looked like a good match with being not too heavy for a mild winter here in the Carolinas. It was delivered before the expected delivery date. Son loves this jacket. It’s warm but not very bulky. Additionally he enjoys the fact that it is water proof and he can walk to the car in a light drizzle without getting wet. Overall a nice product for a very good price.

He’s sort of between sizes and while I wanted it a little big for him to grow into it I didn’t want him to be swimming in the jacket! I also didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg on it but still wanted it to be good quality. This jacket hits all the marks! Well made, warm, fits well and looks good too. My son loves the blue color. I would definitely recommend!
