Effective and compact package

Ultraportable and lightweight. I've been using this as my go-to when hiking, running and cycling. Small size makes it easy to fit into a trail medical kit. It doesn't really rub into the skin very well being zinc oxide based, but the benefits of it being easier on the environment and easier on the skin outweigh the aesthetic downsides. Zinc oxide can stain certain fabrics. I haven't had trouble with it personally––most of the time it comes off my gear with washing detergent. A tip for those who get tough to remove stains: After washing with detergent, if the stain is still visible, treat it with vodka and baking soda. If this doesn't work, dilute grease-fighting dish detergent with cold water. Dab the stain until it lifts, and then dry it with baking soda.

Defective product - leaves permanent stains

It works fine except it leaves stains on fabric once it comes into contact with some materials. It rubbed off on my expensive gtx jacket and I can't get it off now. I've tried washing it multiple times with the recommended washing liquid...doesn't come off. I tried contacting the manufacturer but to no avail. I've sent them no less than four emails, reached out through their social media page and even left a voice message on their toll free number... this company is nowhere to be found. I have already returned the product and I would urge the store to stop carrying products made by this manufacturer. !! Buyer beware.

Small, Light, Effective

I switched to stick suncreens after one too many explosive experiences with liquid tubes. No need to put this in it's own plastic bag unlike liquids. I've never had a messy experience with this. I've never had an issue with clothing stains either. Temperature does affect the consistency of this stick: hot is a little creamy, cold is like a brick. Either way it works to protect your skin. It does feel thick when you apply it to your skin, but that's the case for any zinc oxide sunscreen. At 0.8oz (22.6g) it is about as light as it gets for sunscreen. It is also very small, about the size of a chicken egg. Longevity: How long does one of these sticks last? I work outside almost everyday and I've had 1 stick last about 3months. I only use it on my face though, as I opt for long sleeves, pants, and sun gloves. Effectiveness? My face doesn't get burned or feel hot or look red when I use this. Seems to work as intended.

It is a nightmare trying to get this to rub into your skin and has a awful smell. It will stain your clothing and car seats.

I kept this small stick handy in my waist bag. Only downside it it made me look weird but that is better than sunburnt in the middle of nowhere.
