I started bouldering around 3 months ago and got these shoes after reading about them online. They’re flat and flexible. I have rather wide feet and they fit great and can be tightened to your liking. Great shoes to start climbing with and in the future I’ll probably buy more aggressive shoes but in the meantime these work perfectly for the routes I’m doing now. I wear a street 8.5 and got these in size 8. They were tighter initially but now they fit well and I don’t think they’re getting any looser anymore which is good.
Normally a size 9, they were too small returned for a size 10. Still too small.
Got these for myself for my birthday, and they work well. Had to still size up a half size, even with the wider fit, but more due to length than width. Usually a street size 7.5, and the 8 fits in a way that will still fit when they stretch out. A bit slippery at first, but once the bottoms scuffed a bit they were much easier to use. I recommend them for beginners, but expect more foot pain due to the arch if you have bunions, and break them in slowly.
Bought these as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend and she loves them! She usually wears a size 9 because she finds it better for her feet width but not necessarily length, but the 8.5 wide size shoe is great for her!
The fit of the shoe was fine, but I would have stayed on the wall better if I've wrapped my feet in banana peels. I thought the 5+ year old shoes I was replacing were slippery-- YIKES, do not buy these. Glad REI let me return them.
I am a beginner climber and tried 4 different pairs of shoes to end up with the Scarpa Helix lace-up as the best fit. These were a close second. I am normally 8.5 street shoe with slightly wide feet and the other models I tried all made my toes go numb. The width seemed ok here but they were too long in size 9 (I sized up based on other reviews) and the heel wasn't quite fitted enough. Overall could work for someone else though.
I wear street shoe size 6. Got size 6 but it's too tight lengthwise. Re-ordered size 6.5. Hope it fits better.
I love these shoes, they were highly recommended by the staff and I’m glad I gave them a try.
I usually wear a 9.5, I got a size 11 and they still scrunch my toes, run super small
