Best floor pump.... EVER!
I have had a lot of floor pumps over the years. This is by far the best I have ever owned and/or used. Three items in particular make it stand out among the rest. 1) The universal (Schrader or Presta) goes onto and comes off of the valve stem like butter. So smooth to use. 2) The dual charge feature is very nice as it lessens your pumping strokes by not wasting tons of strokes at low psi when you begin filling. The foot flip-swtich is nicely placed and easy to use. 3) The very large pressure dial that has a white background is extremely easy to see. You don't need glasses. Absolutely wonderful pump.

Twice failed
The first pump jammed internally after one day. The second lasted about 3 weeks. Hoping to return this for a different pump. Something about the dual pressure mode must cause internal jamming. I’m 0/2 on these.

Nobody Mentioned the Lever!

So, as other reviews state, my pump broke too and doesn’t work with presta valves anymore. But the lever used to lock in to place is a design flaw that’s insanely stupid. When flipping the lever down and off the valve, the spring mechanism that brings the lever down is so powerful that it hits your fingers hard, leaving your finger sore for a couple of hours. My small child loves to pump up bike tires with me if I’m working on a bicycle, and I won’t let him near the pump for this very reason. I don’t think a bike pump requires a Hulk-like spring to unlock from a valve. I can’t believe that made it past the quality control or R & D process.

Sturdy Pump

I'm very happy with this pump. It has both High Volume and High Pressure settings, which is helpful for road tires on the former setting and fat tires on the latter. The hose is very long which is helpful when the bike is on the work stand. The footprint is large and the dial is easy to read. The mechanism that locks the nozzle on the valve is excellent. I've owned cheaper pumps which have done quite well, but this one is an impressive build. It will not set the bead on a wheel of a tubeless tire. You'll need either a CO2 cartridge or compressor. I recommend this pump.

Designed to Fail

Works well, until it fails. The pump valve head is designed in such a way that it is 100% guaranteed to fail after consistent use. The little plastic actuator arm rubs against a metal plate to activate the valve. Metal rubbing against plastic, what could possibly go wrong?

Twice a failure two separate pumps

Just returned my second one . They seem to last maybe a year . First one the gauge stopped displaying pressure and rei swapped it out . My second one the handle broke at the stem but with a radiator hose clamp and some glue got through . Today the gauge on the second one stopped working . Don’t fault rei but they didn’t replace the second one after replacing the first one . No more , went with the high end silia pump for reliability and warranty

Excellent Pump

I purchased this pump along with a new Salsa Sora 650 bike I purchased early summer of 2019. I use the pump before every ride to bring my road tires up to pressure. I've used this pump to seat the bead of my tires when I first installed them up to 80PSI and it has been working flawlessly as intended during the whole time I've owned it. The pressure gauge works flawlessly and so does the lever for High Volume and High Pressure(HV/HP). I can't speak for others experience but perhaps they received a bad pump. Sometimes defective products will make it past the assembly line and/or quality control. This is an excellent pump and I highly recommend it.

Best pump ever!!

I had my previous floor pump for 20 years before buying this one and it's like night and day. I used to exert significant effort to get my high pressure road tires topped up, but the high pressure setting on this pump makes it almost effortless. I also really like that the valve accepts both presta and schrader valves without any user intervention. Nice long hose. The storage of inflation needles in the handle is a nice touch too. Very happy with this purchase.

Stay Away From This Pump

Agree with several of the other comments. Purchased the pump in Nov. 2020 and then in Jan. 2023 it began to show signs of something being wrong. As others have stated, it became less fluid on the downstroke and gave indications that something was not right internally. I had high hopes for this pump. It should have lasted more than two years. I will not purchase another Bontrager pump in the future. It was past the one year point of return and the Bontrager warranty is for two years (good timing on their part).

Went through 2 of these in 2 yrs

Air leaks from the bottom base and doesn't go into the tire. Also the inside starts to rub on the walls. Had to replace this pump twice. Each one only lasting a year. Of course they give out after the full year so I can't replace it with a new one for free. Stay away from this pump.
