Works beautifully!

I spend the Winter Guiding in Everglades National Park. I have tried many compact chairs in deep sand on the many Islands and beaches on the Gulf of Mexico. It can be very frustrating sitting in this type of chair in sand. You have to wiggle as the legs sink so you settle the chair legs evenly. If there is a shell or other object buried under you one leg hits it and the chair tilts and often falls over spilling person, coffee and meals. It also makes the chair very short. The Ground Sheet acts like a snowshoe on the chair and is by far the best way to deal with these problems I have found. No more being thrown by the chair or sitting just inches off the ground.

Close but maybe another method exists?

I had taken my chair zero on a backpack trip and found myself in sandy soil. The chair is awesome and worth the 1 pound of weight. But I kept sinking and tipping. I pondered about various add ons to replace the feet and not impact the overall weight. Upon my return I heard about this mesh product and bought it. It is well made and beefy to handle the rocks and what not and does keep the legs from sinking. But, it adds almost half a pound to the chair weight. Makes for a tough call when trying to keep the weight down. Perhaps the engineers went through other means of keeping the feet from sinking, but I wonder if an inverted cup, or just straps instead of the mesh or wider feet or ??? would work as well and weight only a few ounces.

Chair Zero model groundsheet didn't fit my Chair Zero

I bought the Chair Zero model groundsheet at the BAP! Store but after fighting with it for 20 minutes, it would not fit my Chair Zero. Unable to get more than 3 legs into the groundsheet. Gave up before I broke my Chair Zero. Very disappointing.
