After having inflatable pads and trying different baffle designs I figured out I still like having some solid pad. I got the Hinman double to go with the Dream Island sleeping bag and its... amazing. I've had other options combining two inflatable pads together to use with a 2 person sleeping bag. While those work you'd end up on the ground or light headed after blowing up 2 pads. I got this for car camping as we are doing more car camping supported mountain bike day trips. With that we could afford to pack a comfy pad and the Hinman knocks it out of the park. I'd recommend the double to anyone who wasn't planning on backpacking with it (doesn't pack down small).
I bought this pad for a 16 day Grand Canyon trip and I slept like a baby every night. It was comfortable, roomy, easy to inflate, rugged, durable and so nice to lie down on after a long day of rowing. It is a fantastic product!
If the ground is cold, I never go without this pad. Comfortable & reliable.
