Comfortable and supportive!
Happiness is putting on a brand new pair of Sockwell firm compression socks for the first time! I’ve worn a couple other pairs to death and it’s amazing how compressive a new pair feels. Pros - great rejuvenation for tired legs, don’t slip, comfortable, you can wear for days on end! Cons - they do loosen a little bit over time, the area under the balls of my feet wear out unusually fast (and this is never a spot that wears out in any other sock), heels get baggy, a bit expensive for how quickly they wear That said, I love wearing these socks day and night and I especially love this hot pink and black colorway.
Don't last
Only had these for 2 months and the bottom is wearing out. I can feel the bare spots in my shoes when I walk. Poor quality for high price tag. Won't be purchasing these again.
Excellent!
I fractured my ankle a month ago, and decided to finally get a pair of compression socks. Loved them the second I put them on. They are soft, extremely comfortable, and don’t feel tight (I got the 20-30mmHG). My shoe size is 7.5-8.0 and got the S/M (says up to 7.5). Don’t know the lasting quality yet, too soon. I didn’t think there was a sock I’d love as much as my wool blend hiking socks-but here it is.
Really comfortable compression socks
I have had some issues with left swelling leg since I had hip replaced. I bought the heavier compression 20-30 wt and am very pleased. This particular Pulse Firm model was the most comfortable after trying on 5 different pair in the store. I am 5'8" and have very long legs. The knee high length is enough to come under the knee. I wear a size 9.5 shoe. The foot is a bit too big, not much. Material on this particular sock is very soft
stinky feet people rejoice!
I wear these primarily for work as a nurse. I don’t always wear them for work but am more inclined to pull them on when my legs are tired after a hard running workout. They provide the support I need without getting itchy like other brands do. I’ve worn these with running shoes and danskos and my feet don’t get hot or stinky! This is a big deal considering how gross my feet can be at the end of the day!! I wear a women’s 10 and do have more muscular calves but had no issue with fit and got a size S/M
Good for skinny calves
I have trouble finding compression socks that adequately support my skinny calves. These provide enough compression without being super tight. I can exercise, recover, and sleep in them. However, they are still a little too big around the foot and ankle area (size 6 feet). I can literally pull them over my knee (I'm 5'4") and the heel goes up to my achilles. Compared to other compression socks, these are better but not perfect. If I don't pull them up all the way and fold down below the knee they work.
Wore on a long plane fight
I finally gave in a started to wear support hose for long distance plane flights. These support hose were very comfortable, no pinching and not itchy. My shoe size is 8.5-9 men’s. REI did not have a medium firm in stock so I bought the women’s size 10. Perfect Fit. I wore hiking for the first time and thought they were quite comfortable and maybe my legs weren’t as tired. Need a few more hikes to be sure about that
Small feet, short legs? Finally a sock that fits!
I have small feet, I wear a 4.5-5.5 depending on the shoe and usually I buy kids socks to get a good fit. I'm 5'2 and have short legs, compression socks are usually above the knee or at the knee. These socks are great for small feet and short legs! The small fit my foot without the heel coming halfway up my Achilles and the top of the sock was below my knee! I purchased 2 pair of 20-30 mmHg and 1 pair of 10-15mmHg, because I have thin legs the higher compression gives me the right support. I will use the 10-15mmHg for recovery socks after a long day of hiking or for flying, they don't quite give me the support I want for long hikes or running. If you have average sized legs they are probably exactly what you need. Will definitely buy again. I wear a lot of Darn Tough socks (the kids large and women's small fit great) but their compression socks are made for super models, so these are now my go-to for wool compression socks.
So comfortable!
Love the color (got both the green and the red), they are very comfortable and helped my legs and feet feel great all day as I am on my feet at work from 7am to 6-7pm. Loved the video showing how to put them on. It really helped! I'm a size 7 1/2 to 8 shoe size and got the small. Fits great!
Keeping your legs active and supported
I work on the Ferry’s and itvis at least 8 miles minimum everyday. Up and down and all over. Every other part of my body is sore except for my feet and calves. I have 7 pairs. Need I say more....
