Great product, with a quirk.

I bought this pack for storing my down sleeping bag on kayaking trips, it also lets me use it on short hikes as a day pack. Construction is very solid, unlike other pack/drybag combo products made by other vendors. But the roll top is a bit quirky: There's an inch+ of fabric above the plastic horizontal tabs; if you start rolling from the very top you won't get a watertight seal. You need to fold the two horizontal plastic tabs together, then roll. That method produces a really good seal. Maybe everyone else already knew that, but I had to watch Seal Line's youtube video to figure it out, not intuitive IMO. But once mastered, this is a really good product for water sports, etc.

Planned on using on the Grand Canyon and a trip to Mexico. Used as a carry on to Mexico and the strap stitching failed. Day one useless. Cascade designs / sealine customer service did not respond to emails or calls.

Quality has gone way down

I previously owned one of SealLine's day pack dry bags that finally blew out after years of use paddling and boating around SE Alaska. My original bag was a thick, durable rubbery material that stood up to a lot of use and abuse. I purchased this bag to replace it, and am so bummed to see that they've completely changed the design and are now using a very thin, lightweight material to make the bag. I'm sending it back, as I don't trust this bag to stand up to this environment with rocky beaches. The seams appear thin and cheaply made, I don't expect it to last long and would rather invest in a dry bag that won't blow out so quickly.

Super useful

This thing is super versatile. Great pack to throw in a suitcase as a daypack, strap on my SUP, whatever. Full waterproofness is an added bonus in the PNW, and the stretchy outside pocket is great for a jacket or other bulky stuff.

Great Dry Pack for a Day

Works great, light weight and perfect size for a day out in the kayaks. I like the side pocket even though it isn't waterproof.

Great waterproof day bag

Really great waterproof pack! It's the perfect size for a day trip paddling -I can fit snacks, an extra layer, sunscreen, a bathing suit and towel in there easily. I usually keep the pack stuffed into the bungee cords on the front of my paddle board, and it usually gets completely soaked, and I have yet to notice any water inside. As with any like...roll-down dry bag, I wouldn't expect it to be 100% waterproof if it ever fell into the water because water would DEFINITELY leak in through the top, but the bag itself is very waterproof.

Multi use waterproof

I had purchased this pack as a way to keep things dry on canoe excursions and beach trips. But I found it to equally useful for cycling and really enjoy it for other around town trips where it is helpful to keep things dry. The smaller capacity doesn't allow for a full shopping trip. But it does allow for essentials, whether that is shopping or packing on a trip.

Favourite multi-use bag

This bag has become my everyday bag, I might need to get a second. I originally bought the bag to use as my canoe guiding day bag, but now I use it instead of a backpack for everything I do - biking, walking around the city, day hikes, travelling- it's the best and even fits my laptop. I can't recommend this bag enough!
