Mammut Alpine Trad Sling
A lightweight sling for alpine, ice, trad and multi-pitch climbs, the Mammut Alpine Trad Sling is quick to deploy one-handed and can be used for extending protection as well as anchoring.
- Wear over your shoulder for quick one-handed deployment; instead of pulling the sling over your head and arm, just unclip your carabiner (not included) to remove the sling
- Dyneema® ultra-high-molecular-weight (UHMW) polyethylene has a higher strength to weight ratio than nylon, absorbs less water and has higher abrasion resistance
- Length can be quickly adjusted from 120 cm to 60 cm to 30 cm for extending gear placements

Excellent for its design
I bought this out of curiosity and it's definitely lighter and less bulky than it's traditional sewn loop counterpart. The carabiner that comes with it is the Wall Key Lock bent carabiner and is of good quality too. For anchor building, I'm used to working a sewn loop, so I didn't like using this at first. After putting some thought into it, it's definitely just as usable for anchor building as a regular sewn loop. I'll probably force myself to use it more before and see how I like it before committing to a couple more. The quality is outstanding.
Amazing original product
very innovative product! Lighter, stronger, and faster to use then its circular sewn predecessor. Would highly recommend these slings, great for many other rigging applications also. I wish it came in a longer length though. A 240 cm would be nice also.
Simple and smart
This is great for alpine climbing, no more fighting with shoulder slings and incredibly efficient in use.
Great product for acting as a gear sling. Also, multipurpose if you need to use it on the climb.
Great sling and carabiner, I use this as an alpine draw when I need a little less drag.
