relatively easy release

compared to shimano spd, im not sure these need to be so expensive, but im sold and have been happy on the crank brothers mechanism and their candy pedals. these do unclip slightly easier than the standard CB cleats and i appreciate the 6 deg float which allows some flexibility to adjust foot and leg positioning on the trail. there is a short break in period since right out of the box the cleat can feel stiffer when unclipping, but once broken in, it's predictable with a nice clicky feeling on and off

Must have for Crank Brothers clipless pedals

The 10 degree release has allowed me to use the Crank Brother Mallets I have had for two years. Quickly unclipping is still a challenge but at least I can get out. From riding flats this gives me better peddling and forces me to use better bike/body positioning for control. I am enjoying the change. Still not sold on CB tech as you can not adjust the tension.

Great Cleats!

If you have used the regular cleats for years and they are nice and broken in, these are nice for a new cleat. I didn't want to start over with a brand new regular cleat. The transition was smooth.

Easy Release Cleats

The Crank Brothers Easy Release Cleats are exactly what I was looking for. I ride an ebike and enjoy being clipped into the pedals. Much better control and power when pedaling. The Easy Release allow the rider to disconnect quickly, which is important when riding at the faster speeds of an ebike.

Not Much Easier with Double Shot Pedals

Maybe for other pedals they can be differentiated but for the Double Shot pedals I didn't see much difference and still fell at least once every ride due to being unable to get my feet released. I returned these and the pedals and went back to SPD clipless that I've ridden for years without such issues.

Just What I Needed

Exactly what I was looking for. I still consider myself a novice/intermediate when riding clipped in so the give and ease of use really help keep my confidence when Im one the bike without worrying Im going to go over and not be able to unclip.

Crank Bro’s Easy Release Cleats

Crank Bros Easy release cleats don’t seem to release as easily as spd cleats. As a result, had an unexpected crash and minor injury. I would only recommend them to experienced riders who clip in.
