Solid jacket/sweatshirt

This is my first North Face purchase and so far I have been very happy with it. I've worn the Canyonlands several times already in quite cold and windy conditions here in New York City. Under a down jacket it is not bad. It has kept me fairly warm. This will be a good cool Spring/Fall day stand alone. It is comfortable and I love the pockets. The third, chest pocket, is solid and easily holds my iPhone 11 with small leather case. I ordered a size Large--my normal size--and it fits me perfectly. Sleeve length, waist, just enough room if I want to wear a long sleeve shirt under it for example. For reference I am 5'7 about 157 lbs and a 34ish waist. I'm quite trim so to me this fits true to size. To keep it that way I wash but air dry. I worry that actually drying it might make it shrink a little too much. But it's been a perfect fit so far. I ordered the root brown and it looks exactly as it does in the picture.

Exactly what I was looking for

Fit is great. It’s warm enough for chilly days but not too much to wear inside. I’m probably going to buy the hooded version as well since I like this one so much. Definitely my new daily go to. For reference, I’m 5’11” 175lb and a large is spot on.

Simple and versatile

I have an older iteration of this jacket and the new one is the same standard I'm used to. Works well under a light rain shell, insulated shell, or by itself on a cooler day. Breaths well when hiking and waist pockets keep hands warm.

Love it, have 3

I recently received my 3rd one of these because I like having them around. They are the ideal amount of insulation for many situations adding a bit of warmth but still feeling more like a shirt than a jacket. The small amount of elastic on the wrists for me is just the right amount to keep the selves comfortably pulled up on my forearms if I want to go short sleeves. I find myself using these more than any other mid layer or light jacket I own and may get a fourth. So far my favorite is the red.

Good value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good fit for 6'5" 250lb (2XL), previous from North Face fit too tailored. Very supple but thin fleece, compensated by double layer at front torso to accommodate large zippered pockets, layer adding extra insulation. Outstanding sleeve length. Ordinarily not the color I would have chosen but good value with price reduced due to past season product and limited inventory. After many years of black and grey, the red is growing on me - quite bright, standing out walking roads and trails.

Almost Perfect

I really like this jacket overall. It’s exactly what I wanted in a light jacket you can wear indoors. Nice materials and feel. My main complaint is the seams/stitching in sleeve area is a bit scratchy when wearing tshirts. It might dull after wearing and washing more I hope.

Perfect for Texas weather

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband loves the Canyonlands full zip style. When the weather cools off here in Texas he wears this jacket daily. We got it in a grey color last year and he loved it so much we got it in the blue. It is the perfect warmth for Texas fall-winter.

My favorite fleece!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a North Face Canyonlands Full Zip fleece while camping in Yosemite, and I liked it so much I ordered another! The tough exterior stands up to bushwhacking and scrambling, yet the fleece is stylish enough to wear while wandering downtown.

Great fit, quality made

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a fairly athletic build, very broad shoulder and chest, and this in large fits like its tailor made. Very comfortable, and great for cool weather, also good for layering underneath something else.

Great product for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality and style are excellent and the fit is exactly as described. The color is stylish yet not loud. Plan to wear it at any informal outing that warrants the temperature range.
