REI Co-op  On The Trail Cap

Honestly, this is the best hat I own. The material feels high end and I was quite surprised to see it was an REI hat. The material is the best, I can’t describe I’m words. Hat is so lightweight, foldable, breathable and adjustable with a small cord closer. Time will tell on the construction, but for now I simply can’t take it off. Color is beautiful.

This is a perfect trail head for someone who wears glasses and like to take pictures. I've always had issues with baseball hats while taking pictures because the visor would be in the way when I lifted the camera to my eyes. I would always have to turn the head around, which is a bit annoying. Not a problem with this head. The visor is made of the the material that is very flexible. I can turn the visor up when I take a picture and then turn it back to it's original position. No longer I have to take the head off when I take a shot! So simple, so awesome but as the say ... the best things in life are simple. Other the that, the head is super light, very comfortable and string adjusts easily in the back. Maybe one of the best thing I bought at REI.

Dude! I just used this thing for the first time and it freaked my bean. I did a section of the Lone Star Hiking Train in East Texas...in mid august. I sweat like a hog and I didn't get a single drop of it in my eyes. It's SO comfortable that you'll forget it's on and when you take it off, you feel like something is missing. The bill of it is the best part. it stays dry and molds in any position you want. And it stays that way. I have a small head but I don't doubt that it fits a wide range. Super adjustable in the back without bunching up. LOVE it! SIX stars on this on, REI.

Love the color. Stayed on without issue while running. I didn't find myself having to adjust it and honestly didn't even think about the fact that something was on my head because it sits so light! The brim was a little wide for my small head it probably doesn't look as stylish on me as it may on a more proportional person, but I still bring this on every running trip nonetheless.

I always wore mesh cotton hats when I backpacked or hiked and after years of sweat soaked hair I decided to buy a synthetic hat. It's light & comfortable even after hours on the trail. It dries faster than any other hat that I have worn, which makes it perfect for multi day trips. I really like the cinch-down system as opposed to the normal plastic clips most hats use. I use it for running as well and it holds up very well.

I’ve tried dozens of hats over the years and usually after wearing a hat for a day or two it ends up languishing in the closet. The occasional hat has made it to the hall of fame…but sadly at age forty I’ve realized that even the best hats have a lifespan. This REI trail hat is all that I hope for in a hat. It is extremely light and pliable, almost limp. But never fear, it’s is a good kind of limp. The kind of limp that conforms to your head shape effortlessly. And it still looks good. I’ve forgotten that I’m wearing it. This hat is my dream hat. No joke. Thank you REI, please don’t discontinue this hat when I need another one in 10 years.

Can’t be over praising this cap. The brim is a very comfortable & sun protective width,the adjustability is very wearer friendly in that you can continue to adjust it comfortably while you are wearing it. And the color I selected , violet or maybe lilac, is not one you see recently and is quite attractive

I was on the lookout for a hat that I could wear while also wearing my Smith Wildcat sunglasses both running and when uphill skiing. I hit up my local REI and tried on a bunch of different hats with flatter brims and light material. This was the winner. I like the really simple tightening mechanism in the back, the subtle curve that doesn't interfere with wearing my big sunnies, and its light and comfy even when my body temp gets up. I think REI really nailed it with this hat.

I’m a petite women and this hat Fits my small head without looking too chunky.

I seriously love this hat, the color, the style, the flexibility, the comfort. All around perfect trail hat, I want to order more in other colors!!
