- Seat Tube Center to Top Seat Tube length is the measurement of the seat tube, from the center of the cranks to the top of the seat tube.
- Head Tube Length Head Tube Length is measured from the bottom to the top of the head tube.
- Head Tube Angle Head Tube Angle is the acute angle between the head tube and the ground (measured towards the rear of the bike)
- Seat Tube Angle Seat Tube Angle is the acute angle between the seat tube and the ground (measured towards the rear of the bike).
- Bottom Bracket Height Bottom Bracket Height is a measurement taken vertically from the ground up to the center of the cranks.
- Wheelbase Wheelbase is the measurement from the center of the front axle to the center of the rear axle.

Awesome bike for a great price
I've had my Topstone for almost three months now. I literally can't wait for the weekends to come. I've been enjoying the bike on the road, as well as off road (single track, trails, fire roads). The ride is very smooth and a lot can be adjusted by the tire pressure. The black frame paint gets dirty relatively easily since I ride in sandy and dirty conditions. Very happy with the manufacturer's equipment and overall performance so far. The 105 groupset is great. I'm happy I went with the two-by since 30-40% I'm on paved roads. The 46-30 chainrings are just what I needed - never had a problem with the gearing range. Even with its wide OEM 700x40 tires and a relatively heavy setup I'm able to keep up with the the average riders on road bikes. I'm 6'2" and the L size fits great. It's not too aggressive in geometry. I have no problems riding for 4-5 hours. The guys at REI did a great job with the initial tune up but I'll bring it in after summer for the recommended checkup.
All day, all surface, all condition, all good
After 6 months I absolutely love this bike. I usually end up selling road bikes after a few months because I have the tendency to leave the pavement and hit dirt (fire roads, gravel, double track, etc.). But this bike is exactly what I've been wanting in a drop bar road bike for many years- and I've found it. I am 5-09, and I ride a size M- perfect fit. I usually start changing parts out after the 1st or 2nd ride but so far, I am completely happy with all of the OEM parts. My 1st ride was a 25 mile loop on fire roads in the Angeles National Forest with light rain, and a couple of hike-a-bike sections. The bike handled the terrain without a problem and was light enough to carry on the hiking sections without wearing me out.
So much bike for the price
I always like to wait until I’ve put a bike through a thorough test before writing a review. Among other rides, I’ve done 3 century gravel rides 2 of which having over 6,000 ft of climbing, single track and minimum maintenance roads. I can say confidently this bike has superseded all expectations. The geometry of the bike gives it a sturdy, comfortable, yet aggressive feel, the Shimano 105 has been able to withstand some fairly brutal riding. The inexpensive WTB tires have performed much better than I thought. The stock 40mm wide tires (tubeless setup) float over gravel, dirt and provide more traction and comfort than I imagined. To keep the price down. Cannondale have opted for cheaper wheels and crankset. When I bought the bike I assumed I’d be replacing both within a month. However I’ve been pleasantly surprised at the durability thus far of the relatively cheap parts. One of the best parts of this bike, is my ability to swap out a set of road wheels and use it on training rides. I cannot underestimate how great this bike has performed so far
An amazing build at a great price!
- Carbon fork & carbon steerer tube? Yes. - Tubeless ready wheels & tires? Yes. - Full 105 R7000 hydraulic? Yes. - Gearing that makes sense for a bike that's designed to be ridden by mortals who don't stare at their 3 second power in a full matching kit? Yes. Everything about this bike makes sense for someone who's looking for that "one bike" and doesn't want to break the bank. With an acceptable geometry balance between steady and fast, this bike really is built to have fun no matter where or how you ride.
Great Bike, Awesome Tires...Terrible Wheels
The bike is awesome, comfortable but quick, handles really well and absorbs the bumps with ease. The WTB Nanos are perfect; Fast on the pavement but grippy on gravel, decent in mud. The 105 groupset is great with all the gear range most people will ever need. Braking power is excellent. But the wheels are awful. Plain and simple. The Formula hubs are straight garbage, the bearings spin like they've been crushed. The wheels were way out of true after the first ride. I've had the wheels trued at bike shops twice and they still can't make a 30 mile ride without getting all out of whack. The "tubeless ready" rims simply are not ready for tubeless. The tape wasn't installed correctly (no overlap) and the valve stems took some sanding before it would make a tight seal in the rim. In short, its a great bike but plan on quickly dropping 400+ on a decent set of wheels.
Epic Rear Wheel Failure at 100 miles
I really wanted to love this bike... the rear wheel failed on me at 100 miles. Half the spokes vibrated loose to the point the wheel was unstable and dangerous to ride. Fortunately I had a spoke wrench in my emergency kit to get home with. I had to rebuild the whole wheel twice. On the second attempt I used the weakest purple Loctite, seem to be working so far. I have a tension meter and truing stand. I didn't take it in to REI as this is prime bike bike season. Other than the rear wheel problems, the bike is amazing. The rear wheel was so bad though that I can't recommend this bike. I ride this bike as a commuter on paved and gravel roads. The bike was not abused. It was never taken on trails or off roads.
The do it all bike
I've had this bike for a year and I love it! Solid build, great 105 components, sturdy wheels, and the geometry keeps things comfortable while still being responsive. Threaded bottom bracket too, which is harder to come by these days. Only issue I can think of is with the XS size there is slight toe overlap but that's expected at my size. Kind of wish the cranks were 165 mm though. This bike is great for rough roads and gravel, and you can throw a pair of slick tires on and it'll behave like a endurance road bike. Don't care for weight too much but they wheels are quite heavy. I'd imagine you could even get into some racing if you swap out the wheels. Overall, fantastic bike and great looks too :)
Rear spokes are a terrible
This bike needs a safety recall. The rear spokes are constantly coming loose after just 100 miles. Carry a spoke tool and apply removable loctite.
Fun fun
After many mountain bikes the Topstone 105 is easily my favorite bike. It’s fast and still nimble on single track.
