Left Side Opening?
I hoped the picture wasn't accurate and that this would actually be a left side opening water bottle holder. But if placed on the down tube, this is right side opening. It would be left side opening if place on the seat tube. But it fits on down tube of a small frame. It definitely scratches the heck out of your water bottle and would be difficult to use anything but a soft plastic bottle. Works for me but if you're a cyclist that drinks while moving, I wouldn't recommend this holder.
Perfect paint scratches of two rings.
Rode 8 miles with this and my metal water bottle on it since I want to reduce plastics. First it sounds like a bear bell all the way. And second when I’m done my water bottle was scratched perfectly with two pointless rings.
Really holds bottles
I now have 2 of these Planet Bike Sideload Left Water Bottle Cages. They really hold my REI Purist bottles securely, and give them up as needed. I only use these squishy bottles and they don't scratch as other bottles might.
Best design for narrow bike frame
My women's specific bike frame is narrow, making it hard to get a water bottle in or out of a top loading water bottle cage. This bottle cage solves that problem - the top bar is no longer blocking the water bottle and it just seems to both go in and come out much more easily. I like it so much, I would consider replacing the top loading bottle cage on my other bike, if it wasn't wasteful for the planet :)

Solid bottle and looks great. One thing to note is that it will most likely scratch up your bottle whenever you put it in and take it out.
Holds bottle secure
Easy to remove and insert bottle and holds it securely. I have not lost my bottle like I did with the previous plastic holder.
It will scratch you bottle
I have a specific space constraint in my frame. This cage works for me. The opening space is tight. The metal arms will make plenty of scratches to your bottle. Get use to it. Don't be so attach to your bottle. I won't use this if I have a choice.
Perfect side access holder
The is the perfect side-access bottle holder for my Cannondale Habit. The somewhat limiting frame design means that you can only fit a smaller sized bike bottle, but this cage holds it perfectly.
Makes carrying a drink on my bike easy
Excellent product it’s sturdy but light and handles larger bottles with no fuss. I also love the side opening . Makes it very easy to remove any drink.
Perfect for the low step over on the 24 in bike.
