You get what you pay for
Writing from the perspective of a novice, amateur, and casual cyclist... you get what you pay for. I bought this for my hybrid bike and pretty much immediately used it to repair a flat. The Allen-key wrenches do work, but they are difficult to get leverage on, and the tire levers are similarly very hard to get under the rims. The pump feels pretty cheap, but it does get the job done, and I appreciate the mounting bracket that goes under the water bottle cage.
Essential tools
This kit provides essential tools for remote biking
Best tool box to add to your bike.
This kit fit nicely on my dropper post. Sits high and tight to the seat even with some extra items I added, and there is room for more. Something that surprised me was a Velcro strip for mounting tail lights. Best add on for tools if you ask me.
Highly recommend - must have for cyclists
So great for the right price as a must have for cyclists. Has everything you need and such quality products! Would buy again for my second bike!
Not to be trusted
The case opened up and I lost everything in it, including a new tube. I only had it for about a month.
Some good, some bad
As with every combo kit, there's some good, and some bad. It's a good price for a set of common tools. I haven't tried the tire levers. They seem fine. The wedge pack is mostly good. It holds a handful of small tools, and it hides them snugly under the seat, with room for a tail light. My one complaint here is that the straps have long tails, and there's no obvious place to hide them. It would be nicer with shorter straps, or built-in places to tuck them. Oh, I also wish the zipper went the other way (or had 2 pulls), but that's a minor annoyance. The multi-tool is OK. The selection of tools is perfect for cyclists. Out of the box, it's so tight it's practically impossible to open, so you may need another T20 to loosen it. It's especially awkward to extract the T20/2.5mm and 8mm. These tools all work fine, but Topeak was clearly going for portability over usability here, perhaps too much so. The pump is my least favorite. There's a tiny block diagram on the package, and nobody can figure out what the heck it means. You have to go to Topeak's youtube channel to learn how to use it (where it has about 8 million comments that say "Why isn't this explained on the package??"). It turns out, you have to pull out the internal components (which are flush to the body of the pump) in order to set the valve type. Lifting the lock tab pushes it out about 1mm, which may be enough to get a grip on it. Even so, I've spent 20 minutes watching videos online and trying to get it to work, and I cannot get it to lock or pump to any valve (Presta or Schrader). I've been using bike pumps for 40 years and never been unable to figure one out before now. As a final insult, the bracket is round, so it doesn't mate with my squarish down tube. I figured I could mount it on my seat tube bottle cage instead, and that kind of works, but it's so long it runs into my derailleur. Time to get out the dremel tool. I'd bump my review to 3 stars if the included documentation made any sense at all, and to 4 stars if I could get the pump to work. In hindsight, I was blinded by the combo deal. I should have gotten individual tools I liked.
Great price for a Useful bundle
Haven't use it yet, bought it for my mountain which I will purchase when the store reopens after we get through the corona virus.
