Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements.
SHORT: Some pants are available in short sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 2.5 inches shorter than regular sizes.
TALL: Some pants, shirts, jackets and parkas are available in tall sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 3 inches longer and a rise that is 1 inch longer, a shirt or jacket body that is 2 inches longer, a parka body that is 2.5 inches longer and sleeves that are 2.5 inches longer than regular sizes.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

When looking for outdoor clothing there are several features I look for including - - Lack of logos on the garment. I dont want to wear company advertising. - Heavier gauge zippers. - Proper storm flaps and design. - Snaps rather than Velcro. - Ample, usable pockets. - Versatility and quality construction. This jacket hits all of them. On the downside I wish the coat had - - Underarm vents. - Slightly longer body coverage.
I brought this jacket with me on a 40 mile trail around Mt Hood. The temperatures fluctuate while out there and this jacket performed perfectly. Not only did it help keep me from sweating but the storage pockets helped with gear. Now that I’m back home I wear it out to parties and I get tons of compliments. Great jacket, color is muted and not too flashy or showy.
I love the color and feel of the jacket. Its comfortable and does well in light rains without feeling like a plasticky rain coat. My only complaint is the size/fit. I'm usually a size medium or between medium and large in jackets, but his jacket is a little big on my and the sleeves are definitely long.
Love this rain coat. It has that M-64 field jacket look to it. Lots of pockets, can be worn over a down or fleece jacket for additional warmth.
I think I would have felt totally ripped off buying this at full price, but on a big sale, it's a pretty good deal. Looks good if you size down, hood is very functional, and it is rainproof. I think the problem is that it's only good on its own in 55-65 degree weather and so has fairly limited functionality. I have been wearing this pretty much daily during winter in Atlanta this year with a Patagonia sweater underneath and still frequently find myself getting chilly -- the other review stating this is "quite warm" is misleading, I think.
Great, comfortable stylish. Does get a bit warm. Really like it.
Needs pit zips. Overheated in it fast at temperatures in high 50s with just a t shirt underneath. Not breathable, got super sweaty. Also, as is common with REI the cuff closures are too loose so velcro instead of snaps would have been a better design feature. Otherwise it fit a size larger than usual but I expected that so I sized down accordingly. Very stylish design though.
Well made. Just as advertised. Purchased on sale for great value. All 6 pockets are exterior. Has waistline drawstring and hood. A very good shell.
Love the jacket. Excellent quality at a great price
