An almost perfect mountain biking backpack

Loving this pack. The tool roll located at the bottom of the pack is perfect. fits all your tools, 2 CO2 cartridges and tube. The roll design keeps it quiet too. I carry tools zip ties and first aid kit on my rides all of which have been used multiple times. this pack fits them all easily. Plenty of pockets to keep things organized and extra room for a jacket. Sleeves, food or whatever else you need on a full day ride. The 10 L is perfect without being too big. Good for a half day or full day ride. only issues, and they are nit picky, I would prefet the waist strap be thicker att the way to the buckle, and it gets a bit sweaty even with the ventilation. definitely reccomend. much preferred over my old Camelback!

Biking Pack

Used primarily for mountain biking. Compartments and organization is great, perfect size for day trips and 2.5L is enough. Shoulder straps and back are light and fit well, I get some air flow on my back even with it on, but on hot days still have sweat soaking in pretty good. Only complaint is the magnetic hose holder isn't strong enough to clip it to the shoulder strap. Going over rough terrain on a bike causes it to shake loose, which gets annoying. Otherwise, excellent pack!

Big fan of this pack

Use this pack for Mountain biking and day hikes and Im kind of blown away with the perceived simplicity of the pack, despite the complex design of the bag. This is the ultimate sign of success from a designers POV. The main compartment is simple, yet offers utility as well. The stuff pocket on the back is perfect for a light layer to get tucked away quickly, or pulled out quickly. The tool pouch is out of the way but there for when you need it. Even the zipper pulls or well thought out, nice and wide, smooth pulling sensation. I would buy this bag over and over again if I had to, but I can see that the construction is well made, so I probably wont have to. Nice work Osprey.

Great versatile pack!

This is a great all around bag. It has a hydro reservoir with plenty of capacity, easily accessible on the magnetic chest strap There is an easily accessible zippered pouch for sunglasses/phone, and a large compartment for your hiking essentials (first aid kit, extra clothes, flashlight, knife, or more). The front expandable pouch is also great for those extras you may want to bring. I've used this while trail running as it has stayed comfortable and tightly strapped while running. I've also used this is Disneyland with kids to have water on hand, but it is a little small if you pick up too much stuff.

Best Organization and Comfort

I'm a huge fan of Osprey hydration packs. I have an old Raptor 14 for long days in the saddle mountain biking. Osprey has fixed it 2 times and I love that about this company. What sold me on this one, the awesome, easy access tool pouch towards the bottom of the pack. Thank you, I didn't even know how much I needed that. Lovely! I love this color too....dark gray/green.

Raptor to big

Excellent hydration pack but to big, took it back to REI and exchanged it for the synchro 5 and it is a 9 out of 10. The only reason it did not get a ten is that the bladder is hard to clean and dry.

Favorite MTB pack

This is my go-to pack for mountain biking. I had an older model and liked it so well that I got it again. The new model has the added benefit of small accessory straps on the shoulder straps, which are great for my Sportdog remote. The one thing that I didn't like as well is that the new model lacks the small plastic clips on the shoulder straps to keep the ends from dangling, but I transferred over the ones from the old pack.

Great backpack

I have had the older version of this backpack for over 3 years and it is still like new. I have used it twice a week every week since I got it. My only complaint is that the bite valve rubber ripped and I had to replace it. Other than that, This is worth spending the money on.

Just received this product today, I love everything about it.... except one thing, My mid section is big and the waist straps are to small, I guess with more biking and weight loss it will one day fit
