Fun, easy, and not much to improve
Still new to telemark after initial days on a Voile Hardwire variant this spring. Coming from AT and these tour well and weigh about what full feature tech bindings do. The limited telemark tech-compatible boots is the main limiting factor for touring now, not the bindings. The toe piece is very strong compared to normal tech toe; make sure fittings are aligned! If you get a scaled ski you never have to take skis off between laps on low angle tours. Used ski inserts to swap between different skis because these aren’t cheap, but they are made here, which is cool. I ski on least active slick pin setting (first holes) and would like an even softer option. “Claw” entry/exit takes a minute to figure out, but works well. If these didn’t exist I’d prob go with Voile Transit for the tech toe touring.
Powerful and light binding
I have 2 pairs of these mounted skis for touring and on area skiing. These are light and easy to tour in and have excellent power for the down hills. I haven't needed them but spare parts are cheap and easy to order from 22 designs. Be sure and get some sort of ski retention devices.
