Gnar Gnar Alpaca Shorts

I love these shorts almost as much as I love alpacas. They made me squeal when I saw them at the flagship REI Denver store, but I put off buying them because of the price. But, seriously, I have 4 alpaca/llama print shirts, 6 pairs of alpaca/llama themed socks and a VAN called vanpaca...so, I was kind of destined to get these shorts (thanks 20% off coupon)! These are definitely worth the price! I'm tallish and always hate when there's a gap between my shorts and knee pads (because that's where I will inevitably place a rock at high speed). These shorts are long enough to not gap while riding and the material is super-durable. I have some lighter-weight shorts that are great temp-wise, but got ripped to shreds on one not-so-bad fall - I don't feel like I'll have that issue with these shorts. I do think these run small - I'm 5'6", 125 lbs and I had to return a size 6 for a size 8.

I have 3 pair of Wild Rye in size 8 and love them all. The porcupette in size 8 are too snug for some reason. Going to return and size up because the print is just so darn cute. My Wild Rye size 8s do run a little bigger in the waist but not overly gapping. These give me a muffin top and are pretty snug in the lady bits.

Never Want to Take These Off

I am absolutely obsessed with the Freel bike short. I can't say I'm a mountain biker, not even a novice but, I got these shorts for hiking and all sorts of spring/summer activities and wow, THEY'RE PERFECT! Comfy, Check. Durable, Check. Breathable, Check. Pretty, Check. The fabric feels so comfy, no rubbing or stickiness involved. They reach low enough on my leg that I can bushwhack without getting ripped to pieces by branches and underbrush. And the pattern is so cool. I've even been wearing these shorts under my snow pants for spring skiing and touring missions. Life. Saver. Would absolutely get another pair.

Worth Every Penny

These are the best MTB shorts I've ever owned. They're durable, the fabric is amazing, and they look great. What else do you need? I find they have a bit of a break in, so if you start by sizing up, I feel like they may be too big in the long-run. I ordered my size in lululemon and they fit perfectly.

I like these a lot!

These are comfy, flattering and true to size. The zipper pocket on the right leg is large enough to hold my iPhone 11. I am 5'9" and about 165lbs, generally a size 8-10 depending on the brand, and chose the 10 for these to insure they offer room to wear a pair of padded cycling shorts underneath if I want. I could have gotten away with the 8s, but the 10s offer a nice loose fit, without being saggy in the bum or leg opening. The length is nice, hitting just above the knee. I'll likely order another pair because I like them so much.

Yay! shorts that fit athletic bodies!

I have always struggled to find bottoms that fit me (athletic or casual). I have more of an athletic build with a skinner waist and larger butt/thighs so I was SO STOKED to see how well the Wild Rye shorts fit. They're the perfect length, super comfy and the patterns are awesome. I hate feeling super feminine with outdoor clothing and the mix of patterns and colors feel fun and cute but not overdoing it.

Such a Surprise

I don't expect much from MTB shorts most of the time. Ususally the fabric doesnt move with you, they're hot, they're constricting. These shorts surpassed my expectations. I bought them because they were cute, but the quality of the product was insane. The detail, the stitching, the fabric--all amazing. In retrospect, the price was great for the quality. Highly recommend.

Best combo of style and quality!

These are the best shorts! The patterns are unique and so cute, but they also perform and fit great. The fabric is durable but still stretches and has no scuffs after multiple crashes! I wear my normal pant size in these. Highly recommend!

Super Cute MTB Bike Shorts!

These are so stylish and cute! A word on sizing, I normally wear a 26/size 2-4 jeans, and the size 4 in these are really snug (too snug for biking). I'll be exchanging for a 6.

THE BEST!!!

Best MTN bike shorts for women! I have tried soooo many shorts for women and these are, hands down, the best. Stretchy, comfortable and have held up well after MANY wears. I am 195 lbs, 6ft and bought size 14. They are a little loose, but 12’s could be tight so I’m glad I went with the 14. You won’t regret splurging on these shorts!
