Go to gravel tire

I have ridden this tire for 3 years now and will continue to purchase it. It held up for me just great in events like Rebecca's Private Idaho, Crusher in the Tushar and Dirty Kanza. I've never had a flat tire during and event--I did slice a side wall while riding it on a rocky mountain bike single track trail in Park City, UT, but on gravel it holds up really well. I ride the size 40 and really like being able to lower my tire pressure to 27-29 and never had a problem w/ burping. I like this tire.

great offroad. worth every penny

800+ miles on them thus far. 1 flat thanks to a thorn stuck in the tire. 100s of pin holes without a flat. i tried to convert to tublesss which is how i realized how many micro holes i put in it. fast rolling and great on hard packed and just good enough to use on anything thats not a full blown mountain bike trail. i love these tires and they have totally transformed my bike. once these are overly worn out ill be getting another set.

Rolls Fast, Grabs in corners, great tire!

I have been using these for a while - I've only had one issue and feel confident it will be resolved. Great tires, roll fast on smooth and grab in corners.

Great off-road

Used these for a multi-day trip. They were fast with great grip. They handled surprisingly well with a loaded bike at fast speeds. The road was rough gravel. They look great, but did not roll as quick as other tires while commuting on pavement, which is to be expected.

Too loose to function

I’ve been trying for a full year to make my gravel bike tubeless using these tires. I’ve taken it into two shops. Still, these tires are so loose that the bead will not hold, and I’ve replaced them thinking maybe it was just a factory defect. The only time the bead will hold is when a tube is inserted!

Perfect for mixed riding

Running the 700x45 on a DT alloy front rim (about 20mm internal width) and a Stans rear rim (about 20mm too). I didn't replace the rim tape, and the rear is perfect tubeless, but I couldn't get the front to hold air overnight. I'll redo the rim tape at some point. Riding mixed surfaces in the Sierra Nevada foothills. They're great, no complaints. Probably go to 50mm next time for the rocky trails though

Impossible to seat, even with a compressor

Do NOT buy these tires. I've mounted tubeless mtb, road, and gravel tires from Schwalbe, Challenge, Specialized, and Hutchison and never had a fraction of the difficulty I did with these. My first set of Maxxis tires, and definitely my last. These are getting returned.
