CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE: If your body measurements are midway between two sizes, select the smaller size for a tighter fit or the larger size for a looser fit. If your body measurements result in different sizes, we recommend using your chest measurement for tops and your hip measurement for pants.

I love this top. It's my 3rd one. I wear them all the time. They are my go to number one shirts for the office or out. Keeps me warm in cold offices as well as outside. They retain their shape even in the washing machine and hot dryer. No itch. Only negative--got a hole at the elbow on one sleeve when I rubbed up against a metal bolt sticking out of a chair arm. Because they are wool based and not poly, they can tear more easily but they are worth the fit and feel.
Sleeves too short. Chest too narrow. Belly too wide. I'm not sure who they've designed / sized this for but it definitely is not made for anyone even remotely fit or athletic. Forget it climbing, skiing or anything you might lift your arms up with. I'm 5-10 160lbs so nothing special. Taller leaner people would magnify the problems. The one redeeming quality is the fabric itself. Well made. Tight knit.
I am 5'11" and 220 lbs. I ordered an XXL based on the men's sizing chart. I usually wear an XL. Fit is very good with some extra length in the arms and torso. I have an XL RAB Nexus Jacket and the fit is almost the same as the XXL Icebreaker Oasis Top. The Icebreaker is an inch or two longer overall which is good as I expect it will shrink a little in the wash. So I would recommend going up a size as many others have said. Quality seems good but only time will tell.
Gave as gift to a runner/fly fishing outdoors man. He loved it! Warm, lightweight and not itchy!
Warm and comfortable against the skin without any smell. Wore both the Oasis top and bottom, with Mid Calf Mountaineer Cushion socks under my waders while flyfishing for Atlantic salmon in the frosty Quebec fall temperatures. Love the ability to open the top with the zipper and the sleeves can be pushed up easily when needed. I did find the socks to run a bit on the larger side and would have gotten a smaller pair. Overall, I really like the product and was pleasantly surprised by my first time out with it.
It is a very comfortable fabric, and so far durable over the first 3 months. It keeps warmth well, and does a great job of not developing an odor. I use it to work out in the morning, and while I don't get real sweaty, I can easily use it over a month before I even consider washing it. The one downside is the size. I'm 6'1", 190 lbs with long arms. I got a large, and the sleeve length is adequate, but is very short on the torso. Other than that, would recommend.
Comfortable fit and light weight but warm great first layer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wear Icebreaker boxer briefs everyday so I was really hopeful this would be the last set of long thermals I'd ever have to buy. Unfortunately I found the fabric to be too scratchy and uncomfortable on my skin. They look like quality pieces, just not for me.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Did not expect Merino to feel so soft and light. Kept warm but not too warm on a coldish weather run (-1' Celsius). The only downside of these clothes is the drying-time (cannot tumble dry) so will experiment with wearing twice before washing.
