This little pot was a great buy. I have only use it for boiling water as I was mainly eating from dehydrated food bags or other containers. The handles are small but easy to use and to put back in place. Even when the water is boiling hot the handles remain cool and once off the stove the pot itself cools down rather quickly, I would say less than 5 min in 30-40 F temperatures. I think the orange baggie it comes with is the only problem; the fabric is soft but it will usually drop fibers everywhere so you may have some orange fibers in the pot. While it's not that big of a issue, it can be a little annoying when boiling or cooking something and seeing those fibers in your food.
I've used the LiCamp anodized cup and this Toaks is even better!! My entire back country kitchen fits inside: micro titanium stove + 110g fuel + folding titanium spork + mini bic lighter + 4 moist towelettes pkgs (from local BBQ restaurant) or nests to the outside of my Nalgene 1L - Absolutely awesome!! I replaced the lid with a Sea-to-Summit silicone cup (2cup size snaps on just right, 1cup size slides down just inside rim). **CAUTION** - The handles get branding iron HOT just heating a couple of cups of water. I bought some Du-Bro 223 1/8" silicone tubing, removed the handles and with the help of a drop or two of Dawn dish soap I was able to work the tubing on to the handles and then reattach the handles to the cup. No more heat issues and the silicone resists melting even with imperfect placement on the stove. I'm considering going to the 750ml so I can heat just a little more water at a shot and fit my spices in the kit as well. Trails or tailgates - best cook mug yet.
This pot is great and super light. And of course titanium transfers heat very well. The only reason for 4 stars is its nesting capability. If you have an MSR stove or similar with wind blocking ring around the burner, it will not fit within the pot with a 110g fuel canister. If you have a smaller stove, BRS 3000 or similar without the built in wind protection, you’d likely have good luck. I switched to the 750mL, that works better for me
The Toaks light is crazy light! The 650ml pot is big enough to hold my bsr stove, small propane canister, mini box and small container of dish soap!! The lid fits better than Snow Peak. I already had the Snow Peak mini solo but really wanted something inbetween the two sizes. This is great!
Light weight and strong little pot. Fits a 110g canister, a pocket rocket, and a lighter fine. Not great for cooking in, but perfect for boiling water. It's the perfect size for most dehydrated meals which call for 2 1/4 cups water
Very light, and just the right size for freezer bag meals. Used it with a pocket rocket 2 stove, seems like a perfect match.
Looking for a "canteen cup" that will fit your Nalgene bottle? Look no further, this is what you need. While sold as a small pot, this makes for an exigent cup to store at the bottom of your bottle carrier.
Perfect size to hold a 110g canister, PR2 stove, mini Bic, bandana or small camp towel, and some seasoning. All the above weighs in at 14 oz. Great super compact setup. Crazy lightweight by itself.
I have bonded to this cup. It is the perfect size for solo trips. Perfectly fits the fuel and my tiny stove in it. And you can’t beat the weight!
This thing rocks. I can put my fuel (110g), stove (gigapower), full sized Bic lighter, and platybottle cap all inside the cup. Then, I just cinch it up in the stuff sack it comes with and it all stays right where I put it. The best part is that it’s graduated! No more runny mac guesses!
