So warm and so much attention to detail!

If you're searching for a coat that does it all: keeps you warm, dry and covered from head to waist, congrats! You've found it! The sleeves are long enough, the length is just right- covers to just below my bum on my 5' 9" frame, pockets zip and are cavernous- there's even a goggle wipe in the wrist pocket! This coat is so versitile and has so many functional features. I'm very impressed with its attention to detail and many features active folks will certainly appreciate.

Very warm jacket! Perfect for harsh winter conditions.

I have been searching high and low for a very warm winter jacket that can withstand the extremes of winter in northern Minnesota. My search is finally over! This jacket is everything I wanted - very warm, waterproof, lightweight, breathable. It has utilitarian features like a powder skirt, cinching hood, pit zips, goggles wipe; yet is stylish and flattering to my petite figure at the same time. This will function well on the ski slopes as well as for every day around town.

Warmest ski jacket.

I bought the Corefire to use as a ski jacket. I love that it is very warm. The outer fabric did get wet while skiing when it was snowing. It did not soak through. I was out in the snow for about 3 hours. I normally wear a medium in ski jackets (Marmot, Columbia, other Northface). However, I had to exchange it for a large because it was tight under the arm pits. So, the body is very roomy but I still like it. Like most down jackets feathers do sneak through the fabric.

Fits like a dream!

I haven't had the chance to wear this coat yet because it's not quite winter weather yet, but I am super excited to wear it! It fits like a dream, the sleeves are thankfully long enough (I'm a tall girl and finding sleeves that are long enough is a struggle, but usually TNF never disappoints!) I'm hoping it is super warm for the harsh NH winter! It's nice and light weight, doesn't feel constricting!

I would definitely buy this coat again and as a gift.

I freeze extremely easily and live in MN and also one of the windiest areas. I also have fibromyalgia so I need an extremely warm coat that is light in weight well, I've found it I believe. I definitely believe it's just as warm as my snowmobile coat however it's like 8lbs lighter actually I swear it feels like. I'm a true freeze baby and so far I actually love this coat.

Best Down Coat Ever

This is THE coat I've been looking for. It looks great for daily wear and keeps me warm. Nice shape, very comfortable and lightweight, which are exactly what a mom with a toddler is hoping. I love the snugness without being bulky that allows me to chase after my kid. It's an awesome jacket and fitting enough for street wear and any other outdoor activities.

Favorite coat!!

I have been looking high and low for a warm yet lightweight stylish coat. It's waterproof, wind proof, and warm! I tried on all of the parkas in the north face store and they were all too long and bulky. This is slightly longer than hip length for extra warmth but it doesn't swallow my petite frame.

NOT EVEN WATER RESISTANT

Not sure where this was supposed to be worn. This jacket is attractive and all that I wanted-- in an athletic jacket like it was shown on the model. This cannot be worn athletically in winter climates where there is any moisture at all. Does not even repel mist or single drops. Every single stitch in the jacket absorbs water and gets wet. Even if the interior doesn't get wet with light snow the entire does. I read the reviews but still thought it would be okay for dry Colorado type of snow skiing in the sun... champagne powder, etc. But now can't take the chance at all- even the snow on a chair lift would make you wet. This jacket should never even be on your website. Gore-tex actually states that Infinium is not for wetness. Says "when you want warmth but don't need waterproofing" which implies that this should be worn like a street jacket on a sunny day, so then why is it shown like a snow sport design hyping all the features usually on athletic jackets? The style isn't fashionable enough to be a city street jacket because if I want that, I want more elegant materials that don't look like a waterproof jacket.
