This is a great base vest to either wear by itself or under some layers. It keeps my core warm but is plenty breathable. It’s a lot lighter and less puffy than I expected, but I think I prefer it this way.
I've had this vest about a year now. It's held up well, even though the washing machine. I've traveled with it a ton and for a few months I wore it almost every day for a couple hours. My complaint is that the arm holes are ridiculously small. I had read it from another reviewer and it's really something Cotopaxi should fix. I'm 5'6", 135 lbs athletic build, 34c. Everything about the vest fits great (length, waist, bust) except the arm holes are too snug. I've had sizing issues from Cotopaxi before (unisex xs that's more like a large, boxy shapes in general) but I love the company so I'm writing in hopes that they make improvements in sizing.
Love my Cotopaxi Feugo vest! Wear it constantly in my chilly home office and for hikes / snowshoeing over a trim puffy. Best purchase this season.
I bought this instead of the Patagonia style, I’m so happy with my decision. The orange color is great during hunting season (all non hunters need to sport hunter orange during hunting season to avoid an accident). And it packs down to be worn under a denim jacket or a parka. It’s cute to wear and it functions beautifully. I can fit it under my coveralls for ranch chores or wear it snow showing or skiing. Great commuter layer. Simply the best versatile all-season vest. Great value and superb use of leftover materials. I feel good about my purchase. love Cotopaxi
From previously trying the fuego hoodie years past and reviewing the current size chart, I knew I was going to need to try one size up from my regular size. The small in this vest was the right length, there were no issues with my hips, and the bust fit correctly, so I think the size chart seems fairly accurate. I can wear it over most of my sweatshirts and fleeces, and yet it is snug enough that it is ok over just a shirt as well. I usually wear a size xs/2 in most brands, am 5’2” tall, and weigh 118 lbs with a 32D bust. This vest appears to be made well, is lightweight and yet warm, and the colors are quite cheery/fun. I’ve already worn it quite often as it is perfect for the PNW.
Ordered the orange color scheme first and the pictures on screen were not even close. It is very bright, so if that is what you want you will not be disappointed. Also the dark colored down feathers showed through the light color fabric on the body and made it look cheap. Exchanged for the port/navy color and arrived packaged differently, crumpled up in a cardboard envelope as opposed to a box like my first order. It is wrinkled and deflated looking. Washing it according to customer service representative directions did not help much. Still deflated and not puffy looking like the pictures. The sizing is about right, if not a little big in the waist. Like other low rated reviewers I do not think this is representative of a quality vest and is definitely a lightweight transitional piece. The majority of reviews are happy with the vest so maybe I got a lemon as another review suggested. Customer support is excellent.
Lightweight, packable, and stylish! I absolutely love it. It's so lightweight and warm, I find myself wearing it constantly. It's the perfect layer for Pacific NW weather. I also love the colors and stripes! Adds a great little pop of color and fun. One thing to note, some previous reviews state to size up, but I ended up exchanging for my true size after following this advice. I don't know if this season they adjusted the fit a little, but I'm 5'10" with a fairly athletic/lanky build (size 6/8 in pants) and the M fits great with enough room for a t-shirt or a sweater/light jacket underneath.
Fits perfectly, keeps me cozy on 25-40 degree days. I like to layer over a hoody and it has enough room to comfortably do that as well. I do wish they would line the pockets better, but this is a common adjustment I wish for that many vests don’t offer. Great vest:+1::skin-tone-3:
I bought this for my wife after owning Fuego Men’s myself. She loves it as much as I do mine. Very comfortable and keeps your core very warm. Love the Deep outside pockets & the inside pockets are amazing!! Packs away perfect in the stuff sack for compact storing.
Remember that scene in LOTR when Frodo shows that he is wearing mithril and it saves his life? Not to be dramatic, but this is my mithril. I got my vest on final sale and I had hoped that 1. I could squeeze into an xs and 2. That it would be a nice red. Well, I’m pretty happy. First, I had a friend who is a seamstress cut the arm openings to make them larger. I can slither into some small things, but these armholes were sized for an American Girl doll. The rest of the vest is a-ok and truer to size. Because I could only get the Xsmall, I have taken to wearing this over a t-shirt ,but under a fleece or a sweater and I love it. Yes, it’s slightly crinkly, but I don’t mind that a bit. It’s super lightweight, but also toasty warm. The color is reminiscent of a 1970s-era life jacket, but I’m rolling with it. Yes, I’d hoped to get one of the groovy striped vests, but I had to stick with what I could afford. It hasn’t saved my life, yet, but I do call it my mithril and I’m looking forward to putting it to the test in the great outdoors!
