My 4yo attends a forest school in the Chattanooga area so we needed something to keep him warm and dry in wet winter conditions. This works great. If it’s raining the jacket may get wet on the surface but doesn’t soak through the inner lining. I wouldn’t guarantee this all day, but for a few hours it holds up. Hard to find an insulated waterproof jacket!
Bought this for my 3 year old daughter to use as a daily winter jacket. Her older sister who's 6 has the kids version of this exact jacket which is amazing for the price. Seeing as that her sister loved the jacket, we figured the toddler version would be just as good. for the most part it is. same outer material as the larger version and 3/4 insulation scheme around the torso too. where it falls short is the lack of pockets that the larger version has. the toddler version only has two top entry waist pockets, of which aren't even insulated. They are quite hard to get into, even my 3 year old has issues opening the Velcro closures to access her little toys she puts inside. if the jacket were the exact same build as the larger version this would have easily gotten a 5/5 but the lack of pockets and poor design are a big hit.
This fits my son very well and isn't too bulky but still seems warm. Both the colors are nice and it's a good-looking jacket. The tag inside for writing their name is cute too.
Nice fit and not too bulky. Good everyday jacket. But if you’re in a really cold area like we are in northern Japan, there will be days where it may not be warm enough. But overall great jacket for our 2 year old.
My two year old daughter loved this jacket! It seemed to do well as an outer layer in 40 degree weather with mountain winds. She loves to wear it on chilly nights at campgrounds as well. Fits good and nice quality without overpaying.
Probably best just to use for summer camping. I took this on a trip in the late fall during WA state deer season and it wasn’t very warm. But probably would be if I knew each side was different. Read description before use:
Jacket keeps my son warm and dry while playing in the snow on 20 degree days. Fit is perfect and as expected based upon size. Durable construction that allows him to run around and rough house with his friends.
Works great for my 4 year old, she stays warm and toasty playing at school and spending a day out in the snow. Super excited that it is adaptable to her growth spurts as well!
Great Coat for our Grandson. It keeps him protected and warm.
