I would not buy this product again
I purchased this jacket for my 6 year old son. After 2 months of wear the reflective logo on the front, back and sleeves gradually started peeling away from the jacket. Secondly the elastic on the sleeve became warped when the seam came undone. Cheaply made and such poor quality for a North face product
Best jackets for back to school!
I bought these coats for my elementary-aged boys last year, and have just bought them again in the next size up. These are the best available option to keep them warm and dry for walking to school year-round, playing at sometimes cold & wet recesses, and winter/fall outdoor play. I even wonder if they would work snowboarding with layers. I ordered coats from a couple other outdoor brands, but they were either too bulky or not fully lined, so finally gave up and went back to what I knew worked. I only wish there was velcro on the wrist to keep sleeves in place - since I ordered the next size up the sleeves are always just a little long at the start of the school year.
Cave Blue color is actually Purple
The cave blue color is definitely purple. The color was way too girly for my son. He said, no way! In person the jacket quality seemed on par with North Face. I would have loved to give it a try.

My son loves this jacket because of the color, however I love this jacket because the quality and warmth. He's a hot child and this is the perfect, not too thick or too thin, winter coat for him. I definitely recommend - you won't be disappointed.
My grandson loves the bright color and the zip out liner

Perfect Kid’s Jacket
This is the perfect jacket for any kid living in the NW
Color is purple not blue
The “cave blue” color is purple not blue once you see it in-person versus the picture online. That’s my only feedback in regards to the color. Overall, excellent jacket, just right for not over-heating and keeping dry in the rainy pacific north west.
I would not buy this jacket again
I purchased this jacket for my son as a lightweight fall/winter jacket. Just to wear to school and so he wasn't so bundled up in the car during our long daily commutes. Extremely disappointed. It did not keep him warm at all and was hard for him to zip on his own. After contacting NF, I was shocked to find out it could not be returned because he had worn it for one week. For years I have only purchased North Face for both myself and my boys. From here on out I will only purchase Columbia.

So good I bought 2
I first purchased this jacket as a gift for my 6 year old nephew. His Mom raved about it and how it is such a good "in-between" jacket. Good for chilly weather in the Fall or Spring or warmer Winter days. Also, the outer layer provides protection if some rain pops up. Not too bulky which is great for the booster seat. I just purchased a second one for my 5 year old son. Also love the grey and black colorblock. Goes with everything.
