I wanted some warm gloves for walking my dog. I wanted something that would keep my fingers warm without being too bulky so I could tie plastic bags easily. I also wanted gloves that worked well with touch screen phones so I could easily turn my phone flashlight on while walking my dog in the dark. These gloves do everything I need. I also like the soft fleece that is made from recycled material. These gloves were also cheaper than the other brands I was looking at. These gloves aren’t super heavy duty, so my hands may not stay as warm when the temperature drops below freezing, but so far I couldn’t ask for anything more for my 15 min dog walks.
These gloves have outstanding value-for-money. I brought them on the entire Pacific Crest Trail and watched my partner go through three pairs of gloves over 5 months due to wearing or heat damage, while my REI fleece gloves stayed in peak condition. My hands run very cold and these kept me cozy and comfortable without being too bulky. Since moving to New England they've also performed great for morning dog walks at 10-30 degrees. You'd probably want mittens or a rain shell depending on what you need, but if you want to buy just one pair of affordable warm gloves then this is it.
I was excited about the price point when I initially purchased these, but they didn't hold up after just one month of wear. I found that these run true to size (purchased a size S) and were comfortable/warm. It may just be that I purchased a defective pair, but a hole developed in the seam on my dominant hand on top where my pointer finger knuckle was repeatedly bending. Because of this, I opted for the Gordini Runabouts at a slightly higher cost but better construction + warmer. Side note - the pointer finger on these worked well with my touch-screen.
Great glove for most everything! It is really nice to have fleece gloves that can clip together for once. I slept in them most nights winter camping and wasn't annoyed by them at all! I also didn't even realize it had touchscreen compatibility until after I started using my phone wearing them. Super convenient so you don't have to take them off waking up in the morning when its 15 degrees and your phone alarm is going off. I even skied in them! Which I don't recommend if you're going to be falling a lot because they aren't water proof but that should be no surprise. They are also significantly cheaper than comparable brands. Also a plus. Highly recommend.
These gloves are made of a mid-weight fleece and provide a relatively snug fit, which really aids in dexterity. I was particularly impressed with the finger-tip that enables me to use the touch-screen on my phone without having to remove my gloves--a REAL advantage when I was out hiking in cooler weather and wanting to take a lot of photos. The "night sea" blue color I chose is attractive and easier to see in the bottom of my backpack than black would be. I like that the palms are reinforced with a suede material that gives them some traction as well as durability.
My hands get very cold wearing these gloves at 30-40 degrees on my morning walks. They’re comfortable, but otherwise pretty useless as I purchased these gloves to keep my hands from getting cold on morning walks in moderately chilly temperatures.
Ok at keeping hands reasonably warm. Not toasty though so in mid 30s or below you may not want these for warmth. Also depends on if your hands get cold easy. I would say mine do but they have room for hand warmers which I use anyways even with ski mittens in below freezing temps if out for long time. They are comfy and keep wind off too so in that way they are warm to wear. The tip of the index finger is a bit askew so I often have to adjust it to take advantage of the touch-screen compatibility. They should make that patch wider and cover more of the tip to prevent this from happening. I like the grippy palms as it does seem to help in grabbing things when wearing gloves. Good value compared to big name brands - especially when one sale.
I was really pleased to have found gloves to fit my small hands and they kept my hands fairly warm in Northern CA weather (only a handful of 32F days in winter). Sadly, they lasted just over a year. I noticed this a.m. that a seam had split open on the side of one index finger, although I don't know exactly when it happened. I only used them seasonally - so maybe a total of 1-2 months? The fit was what I was most satisfied with, but I think I'll try out a different pair rather than buy this one again.
The gloves are ok. Really like the I color I purchased - looks like a cadet blue. Disappointed I paid full price. One seam started to pull at thumb/palm area of the right hand glove, and now here is a small hole to repair. The black band on the cuffs have pills, but the gloves are less than 2 months old- have not washed them yet. Not worth the full price. I needed something a little warmer for being outdoors more that 10 minutes; I keep my hand in my jacket pocket when I wear these.
I find the fleece was a very good quality, finger tip was not so good for my cellphone however I kept in mind usually is for outdoors and being in the mountain a cellphone is barely used over there. I like them, nice black color... found them cozy and comfy. However I found them a bit tight, usually I wear a L but this L was some kind of tight. I am not sure if I want to wear an XL, but I keep it as my second pair of gloves as they always get wet in those kind of activities. Fair price for what you get so I am happy with my purchase.
