Awesome!

I use this outdoors and indoors in the gym. I love the Buff multipurpose headbands, and this one is perfect for not only cooler/cold weather (underneath a beanie when outside in cold weather). It is SPF 50, and absorbs more sweat then the standard Buff; which also means a little longer for drying (duh). It holds up well to delicate wash and dry cycles. Great product.

Poor design, too long, unfinished ends

I like Buffs. I have two ordinary ones, which I use frequently. I was disappointed to receive this one, because I expected a regular Buff which was fully lined with Polartec. That design does exist, but REI apparently does not carry it. This Buff is too long to use as a conventional Buff, yet the Polartec section, which is sewn onto the end of the colorful fabric, is too short to use as a hood to cover my head and the back of my neck in cold weather. Add to that the fact that the ends of this extremely long cylinder are unfinished, so they tend to roll at the edges.

Keeps my ears warm, happy, and sun-protected

This is a staple in my winter clothing collection, and I love it so much I even gave my dad one for Christmas. It is VERY warm. When I'm active, it is actually too warm and I need to switch to a regular buff. But it is excellent to add extra warmth when stopped and can be configured as either a neck wrap or balaclava, among other things. It blocks wind very well and is protective against sun. I've paired it with a sun hoodie in the past when doing winter sports, pulling it up when I'm stopped and there is harsh wind. It launders well, won't take up much space. The fabric is actually quite thin for how warm it is, so I often just ball it up and stick it in my pocket if I need to take it off.

Perfect for the mountain

This Buff headwear is perfectly multifunctional and versatile without being too hot. I used it in warm, clear conditions with just the thin layer covering my face but once it got cold all I had to do was bring up the warm layer. I used it to cover my mouth and nose so it did get wet over the course of the day but it was never uncomfortable and really did a great job. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in a "one piece fit all" type of headgear for skiing/snowboarding or just being outdoors in the cold winter!

Keeps you warm but not hot

I have used this on the mountain snowboarding, hiking, and riding my motorcycles. It's versatile with the fleece bottom and thinner polyester top. I was worried that it would be too warm for me, but it has been great, keeping direct windchill off my neck and heat in but not causing me to overheat due to its breathability.

Solid Product

Overall, I like this as a gaiter. My only issue is that the lightweight part is super long so it's kind of hard to wear it without it getting all bunched up. However, it's plenty breathable and breaks the wind when skiing. Probably could do better, but definitely could do worse.

Warm & Functional

Very warm & functional I moved to Colorado last year, and I’m slowly piecing together. My winter wear, and I have been looking for a good neck warmer/face mask for the chilly cold on your face. I think I have bought no less than 10 and I found this one on sale and I got it in today. It is so warm. It’s not hard to keep on your head covering your face as got that extra layer pollen fleece to keep you nice and warm I don’t see any downsides, I will be keeping this one

Replace the old with the new

My wool neck hunting gator finally lost its stretchiness. I saw this neck/face gator at REI. I have tried it in the wind and cold of Montana.....it is a winner

Warm and very versatile

Warm and protective. Bought for cold weather biking, dog walking and social distancing protection. Can be folded into 2 or more layers. Can be very warm on milder days but it has still seen a lot of use during the colder days of this pandemic. I have a couple of these that I can now switch to throughout the week. Highly recommended.
