I am 5'11 and usually wear a 8T or 10T. I bought a size 12 in this jacket because of my hips in snow pants. I wore this, with layers, downhill skiing in MN with a -15 degree windchill. My body was not cold in this jacket ... now to keep my face warmer.... What I LOVE: the armpits are cut higher than other brands in size L and the result is that I feel cute and less restricted. I like the powder/wind band in the jacket as well as the hip cord. The overall length is just right. What could be better: The zippers are a little sticky. I wish they moved easier.
The jacket is fine but the zippers are plastic and hard to zip both the front and the pocket zippers. For the price I think a good quality metal zipper would be appropriate. I was also expecting a double zipper but that is my fault for not checking. The jacket was warm and comfortable skiing
Haven’t been impressed with the last few seasons women’s ski coats for warmth, color, and functionality...this one I like!
