Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!

These are amazing base layer pants and I'm so excited and grateful that REI has gotten Smartwool to extend their sizes. The pants are super soft and warm. I've worn them all summer long on my car camping and backpacking trips, and they have definitely delivered in keeping me warm and comfy. I'm 5'9" and around a size 20 and I got the 2X, which were perfect for me. They have a lot of stretch to them, so different shaped bodies around mine would likely be able to wear these too. THANK YOU REI for carrying more extended sizes. Let's keep this up and extend the sizing more!

I cried...

I cried.... When I was at my local REI the other day and was browsing through the Smartwool and realized they carried plus size. And not just plus size, plus size that actually fits. Moves with me and is the same quality that the regular sizes are. As a plus size woman who works and plays outdoors, and who owns a lot of men's ill fitting Smartwool in a size slightly too small. I cried... I cried when I put it on and it fit like a dream and now I don't have to have a peek a boo private part opening. I what to yell from the rooftops thanking Smartwool for making something for me. And REI for carrying it!!!! I am 5'11" and 326lbs and I have the 3X. They are roomy. But after years of being in slightly too small ones, the bit of room is cherished. You probably wouldn't like it if you were to put them under fitted jeans. But they go great under my Goretex pants or REI Sahara pants.

Perfect, but not durable

I bought these less than 5 months ago and have been in love with them. They're super soft and perfectly warm. It's been colder than usual, so I've been wearing them a lot fpr my daily activities like walking my dog, working outside, etc. Unfortunately I went to put them on this morning and the inner thigh of one leg is totally shredded, somewhat out of the blue. For $95, I expected these to last a big longer. I would love to buy these again, but if they can't withstand regular use, then I might have to find something else.

XL too small, 2X way too big

I ordered both the XL and the 2X and the 2X is 4” wider, lying flat on the table. Looking at the progression on the size chart, there ought to be two more sizes between these. The 2X have a much higher rise and a much longer inseam, too. If they fit, they are great tights to go under skinny jeans in winter.

Midweight base layer that really does the job.

Soft, midweight Smartwool pants that really kept me warm - on a very snowy day. Not a bit itchy.

Lightweight and very warm.

My wife is super impressed with these bottoms. Also not at all impressed with the selection of quality base layers in a 2xl, this was the only option.

Nothing Beats Smartwool

I am so happy these were available in plus size!! They fit perfectly and are great for layering and are not too bulky. I have worn them on several cold hikes and they keep you warm but not overheating. I found the fit true to size.

True to sizing and so comfortable!

Love these bottoms! This is my first time ordering from REI and I could not be happier. These bottoms are SO comfortable and are true to sizing, which is always a bonus when you are a plus size woman. I have them on right now and am happy as a clam.
