The last winter coat I’ll

The last winter coat I’ll ever need. Immediately took this out climbing in the New River Gorge on a bouldering trip where we got a surprise five inches of snow. I never felt cold or overheated while hiking with my crash pad to several spots. No holes, no down shedding from inside. I highly suggest this jacket if you’re looking for a winter bouldering jacket... the only downside being it sucks when you have to take it off to climb because it’s so cozy. I thought I was getting black but it’s actually a dark navy, but it looks nice anyway. 5’7, 155lbs, M is perfect.

XS size too tight in hips

I ordered this jacket in a size 8 (XS US) and it fits fine in the chest and waist but is just a bit tight in the hips. This surprises me since I am definitely not "hippy." I typically wear a size 2 US. I have not yet worn the jacket outdoors as I am deciding whether to keep it or not. It does have a two-way zipper so unzipping a couple inches on the bottom is always an option. The drawcord on the bottom is completely superfluous. If I keep the jacket, I will remove the drawcord and save a tiny bit of weight and bulk! I just wish Rab had been a little more generous in the hip dimension since the drawcord can always be used to take up slack. Given the price of the jacket, I am reluctant to "settle" for something imperfect.

I love this jacket!! It

I love this jacket!! It is fulfilling all of my winter needs. I have been doing a good bit of winter camping in temps 15-20F and with this super puff I am able to stay cozy and happy. I have nothing bad to say. It is burly (except when I ripped it ducking beneath a sharp branch). It is waterproof enough to keep the wet off me for short periods of time. Its been holding up against snow and light rain. Lastly it is so comfortable. I feel like I am wearing a huge down sleeping bag and I love every moment of it.

I LOVE this jacket. I

I LOVE this jacket. I took out this jacket for a 3 day winter hut trip, and it was super cozy. Packs down small, lofts well, and fits well through the arms and shoulders. I love that the cut of the jacket covers my butt as well. I often wear a size small, but I'm also a climber so a lot of jackets are right on the edge of fitting my shoulders. I ordered a medium just to be on the safe side and make sure I have room for layers underneath, and I'm really happy with it so far.

A New Favorite

Got this jacket before taking a Wilderness First Responder course in sub-zero temperatures. As a "patient" who was constantly laying "unconscious" in the snow, I was never even a bit chilly. It fits great and there is enough room when fully zipped for neck-warmers and base layers- opposed to other jackets that I've tried. It's like wearing a little, heated cloud.

I love this jacket! I

I love this jacket! I feel the cold and wanted something to keep me warm though British winters and on the coldest days. Having tried on at least 5 others from a range of makes, this was by far the best and has proved a great buy. I had initially worried that it was rather Michelin Man in fit, but the slim fitting around the hips means this isn't a problem.

Great jacket, but need more color options

I just ordered this jacket, and I have no doubt that it's a great jacket, but I find it troubling that it doesn't come in some kind of yellow, orange, or red like the men's version does. I bought this jacket for mountaineering and would always choose an orange or red color if given the option for avalanche/safety reasons.

My wife is loving this

My wife is loving this piece right now! She got to demo one last year in the bitter ADK cold and was comfortable in sub-zero temps and with the recent cold front that hit New England she is psyched to have it in the arsenal. The fit is just right for layering and she can get it over a shell for belaying.

amazing jacket, I have barely

amazing jacket, I have barely taken it off since buying. keeps you warm when its cold and doesn't let you overheat... perfect. I was dubious about it not being waterproof- just water repellent, but after a very rainy walk the other day I am also really pleased that its practically waterproof too!
