This is your shirt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is your One Shirt. This is the shirt that you slept in on the desert sand by the fire. This is the shirt you tore the shoulder on struggling uphill through the manzanita in the punishing heat and afterwards mended so badly that your girlfriend took way the needle and thread with muttered, exasperated threats. This is the shirt under your fleece that layered perfectly for the crisp hike in to the crag. This is the shirt you wore on that two day drive up to the Tobaccoroots, six days on the trails, and two days back. You don't have to be told about it's breathability or softness; just know that it's the clothing equivalent of a No.1 fitting perfectly into that crack. It is regrettable that it no longer comes in that yellow plaid pattern - you tried to buy that one that was just like yours right off the back of that guy on the subway escalator; he swore it was his favorite shirt and he would never give it up but would wear it until it was nothing but shattered, beloved threads, just like you had worn yours out. This shirt is, after proper washing, excellent to wear while making out.

shirt that does not want to hold up

I have worn this shirt 3 times and washed it twice. The seam on the left arm has failed.

New favorite shirt

F-ing love this shirt! Bought another one a few days after I received the first one. Super comfy, seems well made, fits an athletic body really well (without looking like one of those dudes who's trying to look buff...). Worried about the quality at first because there were more thread-tails around the cuff than I've seen, but its held up--i just clipped them off with some fingernail clippers. Love the colors. Light enough to where when its warm, heavy enough to wear when its cool. Unusual for me, but I'd call it worthwhile at full price.

My all-time favorite flannel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a lifelong New Englander, I own a lot of flannels... and this one is by far my favorite. I have the old indigo color with purple and green, as well as two more of the heavier weight version from a few years ago. Perfect shirts to dress up for work or dress down for going out at night or hanging around a campfire, and having several weights to choose from for the unpredictable weather of New Hampshire's North Country is fantastic for the closet. These do run large, though. I'm a very slim 6' 3" at 155lbs and I wear a small.

Best Flannel Ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I now have every available color of these super soft flannel shirts. They are the softest, most comfortable shirts I own and no other flannel even comes close. I wear 'em to work, to hike and to go out for a beer. They aren't that great for running - but only because Marmot makes better tops for running - but ideal for about everything else. The colors are vibrant and fun. I'm not alone, either; virtually every time I wear one of these flannels, I receive a compliment or two.

Comfortable, high quality, but not "semi-fitted"

The fabric feels soft and comfortable. My only complaint is that the cut is not tapered enough even though the web site states it is "semi-fitted". I'm 215 lbs, 6' tall, with broad shoulders and 36" waist. I bought the XL. The sleeves are a touch short and waist is big and baggy even when tucked in. I thought Marmot was an outdoor adventure gear company but I am afraid they are missing their target on fit. Overall, I am keeping the shirt because it's comfortable.

Can’t miss with these

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great flannel. I have had about 7 of these. I wear them more days then not. What I especially like is that they can worn in any season. Lightweight enough to feel comfortable during summer nights or fall days. My older versions lasted about 6 years before they started to see wear in the elbows and eventually created a hole. But this is after wearing a ridiculous number of times and during physical work as well. It’s my go-to shirt.

Great Shirt

Just got mine and love the weight and pattern, I like Marmot style over other brands currently. Perfect for fall/winter season. Looks dressy for the Holidays. Runs a bit large. I usually wear L, however, M is just right. I’m 6.2” 177lb, broad shoulders. Yet my other Marmot Tromso flannel fits better in L after exchange thanks to great customer service. Hope this helps.

The Medium is LAAAAAARGE

Beautiful colors, nice fabric. Size Medium fits me well from most companies most of the time... but this one was enormous. The body is super baggy, and it’s so long that it goes down almost past my butt (I’m 6’0”). Weirdly, the shoulders and the arm length are perfect, so if I sent it back and got a Small, I imagine the arms would be too short.
