Pants of choice for hiking, backpacking, and climbing. I have 3 pairs of this pants two of them being STRAIGHT FIT this ones I use for outdoors activities since they won't catch on spikes or drag collecting mud or snow, Temps from 0 degrees F up to 100F with no issues. I have the regular fit for everyday use and can't say enough about the comfort and durability. I am 5'5 - 155lb currently wear 32w 30in. Ive used this model of pants for 2 to 3 years now in all types of terrain and conditions with no issues. Highly recommend.
I own 3 pair of these and over the last few years they are rarely not on. I am a fit 2 meter 210 who is out for a vigorous 1 hour hike everyday. I have worn them in the heat of Palm Spring climbing 8k up, in the cold here in Chicago with snow pants over pushing through drifts, walked Paris and the lake country in England and Sky in Scotland up a Monroe where a stream is your trail through the thistle soaking them well. The stretch fabric is the perfect fabric to move with you rather than create friction. It breaths well and there are vents in the crotch for the heat. I have the same material in the cargo shorts Prana sells as well. The durability is amazing. I am at least 5 years in on these and even the buckle belt cinch is functioning well. The cargo pocket zips and reduces your pick pocket concerns in tourist areas as well as securing gloves or maps. The valve snap up feature secures the roll up mid calve and if you are hiking in heat gives you some air when out of the brush. The form fit reduces ticks when you soak the pant leg tip in DEET. I wear a 35 length which isn’t available in every pant and a 34 length which is jus over the boot top. The material drys quickly overnight if you are sink washing on a trip or if you have gotten wet. The price is completely justified in that you can literally do everything in these and they hold up better than any pant I have ever owned. My jeans never come out of the drawer, and when they do I am aware of diference in flexibility and weight. I like the blacks but alternate with the beige. If you are an active person you need a pair of these. I think once you find your fit (the 36 was to big for me) you too will be reaching for these most days.
Right to the point… I’m tall and skinny (6’1” 130 lbs.) and these pants fit like a dream! Also, you can actually move in these pants! I am an avid rock climber with a very flexible style of climbing and because of my climbing style, I had always opted to wear shorts. But now that I have discovered these pants, I can have equal freedom of movement in either my stretch zions or shorts. These pants are also very packable and look great even after being stuffed in a backpack for several days. Oh and one final comment, the pocket on the leg has a top access zipper and this cool side zipper that makes it really nice when you are crammed in an airplane or bus.
Bought 3 more of these after trying one out during a road trip from Seattle to Denver and everything in between. Great for driving long distances, exploring the wild, flying long hours, etc. The stretchy material is perfect imo, not too lose, not too tight. The biggest plus for me was the fit, i'm a size 34 ish (33+ if you may) with a 30 inseam and these guys fit perfectly. A little lose on the waist but with the adjustable strap they stay in place. The leg pocket is genius with its two zippers, so I can remove items while seating -think, tight airplane seats- without much fiddling around. The straight fit is a more European-ish cut but I think it looks great while still comfortable and opens up the number of scenarios where you can wear these pants at without looking too technical.
The pants are great... that being said, who thought it was a good idea to sew the front right belt loop halfway closed? You can barely fit a standard men's 1.5" belt through that loop. All other loops are normal. Yes, I know there is a built in belt, but some of us need to wear a normal belt that is wider than the chintzy built in .75" belt. Thankfully I was able to rip the stitching from the single belt loop to open it back up to the same size as the rest.
I bought these for my boyfriend who has had other pairs of similar Prana pants and really liked them. After only wearing these twice the button fell off and since its doesn't have any buttonholes I can't sew it back on. Not sure if its possible to reattach the button somehow, which makes these practically brand new pants unwearable.
My boyfriend and I are getting more into hiking lately, and with an upcoming outdoor park internship I have, we’ve been grabbing a few more pieces of attire! He has super muscular legs and is picky about his pants, but he loves these (and his butt looks so cute in em! he even won a best butt poll on Instagram in these pants, so it was a popular opinion) For a guy that cares about his looks and is worried about sweating through a pair of pants, these are for you! They have a nice, tapered leg, and very flattering fit! These pants were so flexible and kept him dry the entire day! Worth the splurge for sure.
Size 32x32 fits excellent on my 160lbs 6ft frame. The pants dry quickly and have just the right amount of stretch. I wore them for 3 days straight in late May in the BWCA. With or without underwear these pants are comfortable. Pockets hold what you need without concern of dropping anything. Integrated belt makes it easy to leave your belt at home or add your full belt to clip on more gear. Excellent for portaging to paddling. Had a few slips with the canoe over my head where I collided with rocks and the pants provided great protection for legs against rocks and muck. I’ll buy another pair for my paddle pal.
I have been searching for the perfect pair of midnight hiking and climbing pants and I'm pretty darn sure these are it. These babies kept me cool and comfortable for 10 straight days trekking 40 miles from Lukla to the base camp of Mt. Everest. Despite 10 days of continuous wear, splashes of mud, light rains, and a healthy coating of trail dust, they never appeared dirty or worn. They breathe well, are incredibly comfortable with a phenomenal range of motion. Countless stops and sitting on rough raggedy rocks along the Khumjung pass Trail and not a single loose thread or visible abrasion. This fabric is comfortable and very durable. Well constructed pants with reinforced triple seams and double layered fabric in key wear areas. I will 100% be purchasing more pairs to add to my arsenal. Cannot recommend them more highly. 10/10
Wore a single pair of these as my base layer pants for 3 months in Patagonia and they held up better than I could have imagined. They almost perfectly handled the nonstop daily abuse from bushwhacking through endless calafate spines, blizzards and storms, scrambling up rocky faces, and the consistent abrasion from our glacier rig. The only real sign of wear was from the broken zippers on the side pocket that got ripped, but I couldn't care less because they're still completely usable without that pocket. Overall, such dope pants and will continue to buy more after my current couple of pairs are destroyed.
