Not Accurate When Arms Flexed
Isaac

I bought the Tickr Fit to use in workouts where I didn't want to wear my chest strap. Mostly crossfit style workouts with a lot of different types of movement. Any time I use it doing any kind of workout where my forearms end up flexing a lot I get very inaccurate data. That being said any time I use it while doing a base run, long run, or while cycling it is accurate. I kept it and didn't return it because I can still use it but it doesn't serve the purpose that I bought it for so I probably won't get another. I also can't give it a very low review because it does provide accurate data on the activities it mostly recommended for.

Phenomenally abysmal

Started off good at first, but now I have to adjust it every time and it still gives me highly inaccurate readings like 46 bpm while I’m working out. Do not recommend. Go for Polar or something else, anything else.

Works Well on multiple platforms

I purchased this monitor to use with my ELEMNT Bolt and my NordicTrackS22i. The TICKR FIT works perfect with the ELEMNT BOLT but can have connectivity issues with the Nordictrack S22i. Sometimes it shows that it is connected to the S22i but displays no data and needs to be disconnected and re-connected. There can be short lags in real time display of HR but seem to be minor. When worn with and compared to an Apple Watch, they stayed within 2 bpm’s and usually displayed identical bpm’s. No problems with battery or charging at this time. This works really well for keeping track of workout HR zones on Strava and IFIT.

Broke 14 months after purchase

The plastic that the arm loop passes through broke after a little more than a year of using 1-2 times per week. The design is simply not robust enough and I would recommend not purchasing.

Kaput one month after warranty expiration

I bought this to replace my 2nd Wahoo Tickr X (the strap fell apart, again...) because it was the only thing left in stock at my local REI at the time. While it's been nice not flashing everyone in the parking lot while affixing a chest strap, it hasn't been without its issues as well. The proprietary charging cable, as well as the permanent non-replacable battery, have always nagged at me. They work, but for how long, and how long before the special cable gets lost? I guess I won't know due to the current status. Second issue is that fitment has always been a bit finicky. The strap doesn't have much flex in it, and when you're mountain biking, your forearm flexes and if it's too snug, that kinda sucks. But being optical, snug isn't optional if you want any sort of consistent data. It usually takes a couple tries before it's dialed in and then it just does its job. The final straw, and according to Amazon reviews this isn't super uncommon, was the other day when the portion of the body that holds onto one end of the strap simply snapped off. The best part... it happened almost exactly one month after the warranty expired (13 months of use.) Suffice it to say, I'm about done with Wahoo at this point.

Accurate sensor, armband susceptible to sweat

Bought this to get a better understanding of my fitness levels and it works great. It's very accurate, and I find the armband less annoying than a chest strap. However, the arm band doesn't seem that durable: it stretches out when worn on the forearm to a point that it can slip down to your wrist. I've taken to wearing it on my bicep, but that's a sweatier area. As a result, the strap has started to come apart into three separate layers. It still works (for now!) but it doesn't look great. This is with three months of use, with 8-10 activities a week, both running and cycling. I take the monitor off when not specifically exercising.

Totally beats the chest strap

Wore my Ticker Fit for a week now since I got it. The first time was too uncomfortable on my forearm sitting on the muscle and it sort of slide down my arm when I got all sweaty and I didn't want to tighten it... BUT...just push it above the large forearm muscle area slightly below the elbow... OMG... Perfect!!! I run and cycle with it (even under the arm warmers). I wore both the Garmin Chest Strap and the Tickr Fit twice for run and biking just to see if there were any variations in BPM reading (using Garmin 920XT and Wahoo Elemnt)... No variation. And for Triathletes, it's faster to put on than the chest strap in T1. After workout, just rinse and hang dry.

Fits my needs

After an injury made wearing my HRM chest strap painful I needed an alternative for training. This product took some getting used to after years of a chest strap. Where would I wear it - above or below my elbow. It took some experimenting and it became clear above the elbow produced the most accurate reading. Now, almost a year of using TICKR FIT it seems second nature to slip it on. It met my needs. Not 5 stars because nothing is perfect. I'd buy it again under the same circumstances (by the way, the injury has me still unable to wear the chest strap)

Two chargers have failed

I really like this HRM, but the charger has failed twice. I'm very careful when hooking the HRM to the charger, but one of the little metal pins keeps breaking off, rendering the charger useless. Now I have to pony up $10 plus tax and shipping A THIRD TIME to get a replacement. Come on, Wahoo, you can build these better.

Love both my TICKR X and TICKR Fit armband!

I already had a TICKR X which I still love to use indoors with my stationary bike and VR workouts. But when doing outdoor activities, it's not always practical or comfortable (or attractive under normal clothes). So the Fit armband seemed logical. So happy I got it. It's great for the gym, outdoor walking, physical therapy. It's easier to "remember" to engage it as it's right there. Sometimes with the chest strap, I remove it when indoors then go back out, then I'm stuck not tracking (I'm a girl, so when out I can't just put a chest strap back on lol). This thing is great. I love both wahoo products. And the app is compatible with so many others, I love this company.
