Soles crack way too soon!

SO disappointed! Shortly after buying my 1st pair of Levitate 2's, I bought a 2nd pair because they are so comfortable, yet they provide excellent stability. These features are critical when you have problem feet that will forever have pins and screws from surgeries. Now, BOTH pairs have cracks in the soles, and I'm not even an expert runner by any stretch. They look like I've run 20 miles/day in them every day for months on end. I would expect a shorter shoe life if I were marathon training, but I'm definitely not. I'm just a hobby runner, with time for only about 3 - 5 miles most mornings. For years, Brooks have been my go-to for running and casual wear because of their comfort and support. I expected more from Brooks with the Levitate line.

Needs more support

I really heard great things about the Levitate shoe, and was sadly disappointed. At first I thought I was just suffering from plantar fasciitis or something (which I never have before! haha) when I first went for a run I these. I experienced an excruciating pain in the arches of my feet like never before! Gave these shoes for a spin 3 more times, twice for a walk, the other for a run, and the same thing happened. One time it was so bad I had to cut my walk short. Went back to another pair of Brooks I have (I forget the model, but they're old and worn out!) and had no pain when running. Definitely lacks support to say the least. Also rubs the back of the heels badly. :(

My feet hurt

I really wanted to love these shoes. I was trying to find a replacement for my old running shoes that were discontinued. I’ve worked at a running store before, I had a lot of clients swear by the Ghost. When I took the Brooks shoe finder, I was matched with these. I was totally willing to try and for the past 6 months I have been running/walking in these shoes, but holy cow the outsides of my feet hurt after about 15 mins of wearing them on the road/treadmill. I’ve never had this issue before with any of my other neutral running shoes so I’m not sure why these shoes hurt my feet. I’ll most likely switch back to Saucony. I’m afraid to try the Ghost and get the same results.

Very comfortable but tread is not durable

I echo the sentiment of the others who complained about the quality of the sole/tread. After only one 13 mile run, the tread on each heel corner was worn smooth. It takes me months to get that same wear on the many pairs of Launchs that I've worn. When I contacted Brooks they were polite and sent me another pair but of course the second pair did the same thing. The rubber used for the tread is too flimsy and is not durable. Brooks should go back to the tread they used on the Levitate 1. I love these shoes and they are extremely comfortable but it's hard to spend $$$ on shoes that are not durable.

New favorite running shoe

Super comfortable & great fit. I’m not training for anything in particular at the moment (longest run in these was about 5 mi) but so far they are amazing. Previously I’ve alternated Brooks Ghost and Launch for marathon training but levitate is my new favorite. Doesn’t feel heavy at all but gives me just the right amount of support through my stride.

Yes , I recommend this product

I was a Levitate 1's biggest fan but Levitate 2 has major heel issues

Loved Loved my 3 pairs of Levitate 1s and got about 400 miles from each. They were perfect for my foot, except a bit slippery when wet, but I adjusted. I replaced them with 3 pairs of Levitate 2s ( I like to rotate through my running week) Ugh. Each one has had major heal break down by 150 miles and I'm running the same roads I ran with the Levitate 1s I loved so much. So unbelievable.!!! It's like the sole is made of a completely different composition from the Levitate 1s. I was in love with the Levitates but I'm so done with the Levitate 2s they are beautiful but worthless and I'm scared to try the Levitate 3s less they prove to be a money wast too. Deep runner sadness....I can' find Levitate 1s anywhere anymore.

No Go

I'm an essential healthcare worker during COVID-19, so I am on my feet all day. With that being said, it's integral to my post-work running and subsequent next day at work that I experience optimal comfort and the just right fit of support. I have been a long time Brooks fan and decided to try out the levitate for medium distance, leisure running. I was extremely disappointed by this product. The arch support was extensive, it had a tight fit over the dorsal side of my foot, and rubbed severely on my ankle- my gait pattern showed it and so did my body in the form of compensations and overall discomfort. I value Brooks, but would absolutely not recommend the Levitate 2 due to the pain experienced while running and during the next day at work.

Didn't expect to like these.

I honestly tried to not like these. I looked high and low for a new pair of shoes because my old brand wasn't working for me. I like that these are soft, but still bouncy. My feet don't slide around when I am running up and down hills. The soles seem like they should hold up well. These shoes do get hot and the tongue could be improved. I also wish they were a bit lighter, but they don't feel excessively heavy when I run. I do like these and I am glad I gave them a chance.

Bring back the Levitate 1 design

I fell in LOVE with the Levitate 1 and decided to buy these the moment they were released. However, the differences in shoe construction are so great that I'm shocked they can be considered in the same line. The Levitate 2 has a much firmer grip around my heel and the material is stiff and not flexible or cushy like the Levitate 1s. I've searched everywhere on the Internet to replace my 1s but can only hope Brooks will return to their debut design.

2 pairs of these and both toe area cracked

Great shoe but this is my second pair of levitate shoes that the toe cap broke on. To explain, there is a on inch section around the toe that seems to be reinforced. Both pair I own broke Within first 3 runs and folded in, hurting my big toe. A vertical crack inward and once that happens now the shoe is trained to go in. Seems to be due to the upward point of this shoe that when pushed down from running the material cracks. This needs fixed!!!
