Great Idea but doesnt work well

This is the only camelback product I have ever been disappointed with. The buckles don't stay tight, the bladder is difficult to get in and out and the space for the tube to get out is in an awkward angle and causes the tube to cinch up over time. The clip in the front to hold the straw is not easy enough to use. It also does not fit well if full of water. I love the idea of the water being lower and having a smaller less hot/sweaty back but this just dosnt work well. Hopefully they will update the design flaws in the future.

Perfect for dog walks or short hikes

In the past, I'd usually carried a backpack. On short hikes, it wasn't always necessary but I needed something smaller to carry keys & at the very least a bottle of water. This is perfect. No complaints.

Great for dog walking

I bought this pack primarily for carrying water, a bowl, first aid, phone, and my pups ball for fetch. It has worked well for me for a few years. However, the zipper just started failing recently. I have used the pack extensively for at least 3 years, which I admit to stuffing lots of items in it which may have stressed the zipper. So I am happy with it, but still wish zippers would hold up longer!

Good, but only for one VERY specific purpose

To me, this product is worth its weight in gold. But that's because I have very, VERY specific needs. I wanted to go on more day hikes with my 2-year-old. 90% of the hike I have him on my back in a Tula carrier, which makes it impossible to wear a backpack. The only space I have for a hydration bladder or any gear at all is on my lower back. Boom, I thought, this thing would be perfect. In practice it's, well, it's fine. I'm tall so it fits well under the Tula. The hose is long enough that my son and I can both drink from it while he's strapped in. Essentially, without this, these hikes would be unfeasible. So the mere fact that it makes little adventures possible makes me love it so much. For anyone not carrying a toddler on their back, I'm not so sure. The other reviews are right. The belt does loosen when it jostles around. The storage compartments are not very large, either. I can just barely fit a small first aid kit, a headlamp, my multitool, the smallest folded poncho I could find, and a couple of energy bars before it's full up. Even then, with a full hydration bladder I worry the zippers are going to burst. Of course, if you made it any bigger it wouldn't fit with the Tula, so this drawback is as necessary as it is annoying. Would I recommend this product? If you're in my exact situation, I can't sing its praises enough. If you're different from me in literally any way, maybe get a backpack instead.

Useless for Running

I used this for the first time yesterday. The concept of having the bladder on the lower back / waist is great and the reason I bought it. UNFORTUNATELY, the belt does not stay tight. I was having to constantly (every 1/4 - 1/2 mile!) tighten it to keep it from sliding down. It may be good for walking or cycling but definitely NOT for running with current belt.
