After a year struggling with an entry level recreational kayak, I knew I wanted to do better. Better equipment brings better results, right!. Paddling is easier, comfort is incredible and the cockpit is an awesome addition! I'm old, inexperienced and non athletic. The Loon compensates for all of my shortcomings. I love my Loon & I can't wait to find my next flatwater adventure.
I have been out several times since purchasing this kayak and it has been great. I have been out in rivers and lakes and it handles both very well. The boat tracks well and cuts through the water even better. I would highly recommend this kayak!
Brought this for my wife as a birthday gift. It actually arrived on her birthday, which was a great extra benefit (shipment delays due to Covid). She had been using a 9'6" big box store, generic kayak and enjoyed it. She took her maiden voyage on her Loon 120 and absolutely loved it! Initially was going to get her the Loon 106, but fortunately when I called I spoke to a staff member who explained the the 120 is better suited for a smaller stature person such as my wife. Tracks like a dream and does not require constant correction! If you are considering the 120, go for it, you will not be disappointed!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The loon 120 is extremely stable for a sit in kayak. It tracks very well which is a very important trait you look for in a kayak, especially when you're going up stream against the current or when you're caught in a headwind in the middle of a lake.
Everything I was hoping and much more. Tracks well....stable and spacious. well done Old Town!
