The Perfect Minimalist Wallet
I wanted a small, tough, secure wallet, and this is it: - Made of rip-stop nylon, so it's strong, but slim, and not bulky - Easily fits into any pocket (pants, shirt, jacket), or your socks or underwear - Two zippered pockets, so nothing falls out and gets lost. - Main pocket has a divider, which separates my license from my credit cards - Main pocket has a window, so you can show your ID without removing it - Second pocket I use for migraine pills and a spare car alarm remote battery - Third pocket has a tuck-away key ring for my spare car key I had my first one for 5 years until a zipper broke. Just bought my second one, and it was still the same price, which is shocking.
blue and pink!
Selection showed a black one or two others with the term “asst colors” over two colored versions. I selected the black one. I got a pink and blue one, which I won’t use. It looks like others complained, because the item description now makes it somewhat clearer...they pick for you. Ridiculous that you can’t pick the simple black one.
Love it!
There wasn't an option to pick a color and the photo shows a black wallet so I assumed that's what I was getting. Mine came in and it's blue and orange, not a big deal to me at all..color isn't important to me but I guess it could be to some people so I thought it would be worth mentioning. I love this wallet. It's made well and high quality. I love that I can zip my ID into the window pocket and never had to worry about it falling out. The key ring is very useful as well. It has enough space for all of my cards and some cash too. Very pleased.
Perfect way to downsize
After sitting on a conventional tri-fold wallet for over 40 years, I was skeptical about this 1oz piece of pliable nylon doing the job. With careful selection of what your really need to carry in any wallet, this works great and has been reasonably secure for: * my cash (not too much) * 3 credit cards * driver's license * car registration and insurance cards * a couple pictures and business cards For price paid, it's a small marvel that I now carry in my front pocket to reduce discomfort from my old wad of leather.
Perfect for hiking
This wallet is exactly what I was looking for! When I go hiking, I need to have my ID and one credit card with me, but I don’t want to carry my whole wallet. Previously my cards were just kind of floating around my backpack, which I didn’t like (I’m a woman so a lot of my pants and shorts don’t have good pockets). This solves that problem and contains my keys as well. It’ll also be nice for a quick trip to the store when I don’t want to carry a whole purse but want to keep my stuff together. The material is much sturdier than other “key wallets,” and this was cheaper than other “prettier” options I looked at.
Great travel wallet
I have 3 of these wallets. They are great for travel. When I am on vacation in a foreign country I pack my drivers licence, room key and one credit card on one side and a small amount of local cash on the other. Leave my main wallet back in the room safe. I have never been pickpocketed but better not to risk it. When I travel to Las Vegas I use one for all my slot cards. Great little wallet.
Quickly Bought and was Disappointed
My sister has the same exact wallet as pictured, the black one. I went in store to try to find it, but couldn't find it anywhere. I knew I already liked the item, so I searched for it and added to my cart. The first thing I saw was the black one and I automatically assumed that was what I was getting. When I recieved my package instead got the orange and blue one. I immediately looked back and saw that when you scrolled down and pressed for more information on the item, that they send just a random color. That is a horrible way to sell things. People truly don't know what they are buying. I as a consumer should have looked closer when buying, but it should be more clear. They should have a warning closer to where you add the item to your cart. I hope I can find something else that will work because I really liked the black one for its simplicity. Please read further about items before buying, you truly never know what you may be buying.
Ring strap (on the key in pick) should be longer..
You can't take an electronic key in the water... I use the waller for cash and cards. All my boardshorts have a loop tether to allow you to loop a key or in this case wallet on for security. For me it's unlikely I'd tuck a key on this loop as the keys do not like salt water. I put my cash in the wallet and secure the ring on the loop in my pocket - makes it so that even if the pocket opens, the wallet won't be lost - BUT it's a little short to make that easy to access - especially when the pocket is on the back of my shorts ;-) A longer strap or bungee strap would make that a lot easier. If the ring really is for keys, the picture probably should not show a key that would be damaged by water!
Amazing storage for such a little wallet!
This is a great little wallet. I can fit all my credit cards and other cards in this. It has 4 different storage pockets in this small space - talk about efficient. I can also hook it to the clasp in my purse so it's extremely easy to locate - especially if you choose the turquoise color. I bought two of these - one for me and one for my husband. I am thinking about getting another one for future use in case this one wears out. Once you love an item you can never guarantee it will be there when you need it again in a few years!
Great travel wallet
I recently went to the UK and wanted a small wallet to take only the essentials with me. I saw the Surfshorts Wallet at checkout and decided to give it a try. I love it! The room key went in the loop and tucked inside, my ID and cards were in one paicket and cash in the third. Having the zippers on opposite seams was well thought out so you don’t have a super bulky side with no structure on the other. Fit nicely in either my front pocket or small pocket in my Timbuk2 originally meant for a cell phone.
