We were having a great time with this kite, really strong on a windy day. I was loving it, kids were loving it... right up to the moment you get to the end of the line and you find out it's not attached to the spool and it flew off into the lake...

Weak Line
Tech
Line broke on 1st launch, less than 1 minute after releasing into the wind. About 5.5 feet from kite, line looks worn and frayed. Check your lines before you fly!

Great Fun

Excellent kite! Day 1: Too windy and gusty, but my 13 yr-old grandson flew it anyway. He had so much fun! It crashed 3 times, partly because of the strong wind, but also due to inexperience of the pilot. After he got the hang of it, he was able to keep it in the air. Day 2: Light to moderate wind. I removed the snap-on tails. Still easy to get it airborne, easy to fly, and still lots of fun. This kite is a high flyer. Sometimes almost directly overhead. The 200 feet of line that came with it was adequate. We used all of it. AND I was able to fold it up afterwards and put it back in its pouch. This kite gets an A+.

Fun with extra tail

This kite is easy to get airborne with a decent breeze. I find kite flying relaxing /enjoyable. I find it more fun/attractive with a extra tail. The kite is 5 ft wide and the tube tail in the photo is 24 ft long, the other tail is 25 ft long.

Great kite!!!

This kite is awesome! Before I could even get from the car to the lake, it was trying to fly! It was simple to put together and effortless to fly. Everything is made of such better quality than the cheaper kites. This is SO worth spending the few extra dollars for. You will not regret it!!

Very fun kite! Easy to setup and play with!

It’s fun! It says it works with a minimum sustained 5mph wind… sadly it doesn’t. But if you can get at least 9mph, you’re in for a treat! The circular grip is very comfortable to work with! So releasing line to get air and tension is very easy. I love this kite! ^_^ I only wish the line was a little stronger… I like to use my car door to hold my kite lines just in case I need to run to the restroom… I lost my kite because the line snapped. :( But I will get another! ^_^

Great kite and easy to fly

Got this kite for my 5 year old son. We have a ton of fun with it every time we go to the beach. It seems to soar effortlessly regardless of how little wind there seems to be. Super easy to put together and break down and packages up nice and small. Probably the best kite I’ve ever flown and feels well enough made that it will last a while. The spool is also well designed and makes it really easy for my boy to hold onto it and reel it in when it’s time to go. And you should support rei and buy this kite from them instead of that big online store :) it’s the same price anyway

It works!

I bought this for my kids (and maybe myself too) because there’s a kite festival coming up. I tested it at the park yesterday. Man, is it easy to fly and the wind wasn’t too strong. Easily the best kite I have ever bought. Easy 5 stars.

Best for beginners.

That’s a wonderful kite for adult beginners. It’s pretty easy to unpack and get ready to fly. The only one thing disappointed me - long process of winding the line back on the circle. But even though I like it, and this kite gives a good understanding of what kite actually is.
