Great lip protection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've honestly never tried a lip balm with spf in it until trying Raw Elements Outdoor Mineral Lip Rescue Balm SPF 30. I like that it has sun protection in it, especially considering I wear spf on my face everyday. While it does help with dry lips, I wish it didn't leave a gunked build up on my lips especially at the corners of my mouth. I have the same issue with a few other lip balms that don't have spf in them, so I know that isn't what caused it. This definitely wouldn't hinder me from using it, as it is as easy as wiping it off. All in all I feel that it's a great product and offers great sun protection for an area we don't think about.

Works super well

I've been a huge sunscreen wearer for a while and I recently realized I have been doing nothing to protect my lips. I had been wanting something clean and safe to put on my lips for sun protection, and this one definitely does the trick. I always keep my lips moisturized, so the product goes on really well. It helps to warm it up on the back of your hand before applying. It does leave a white cast, but I kind of prefer to see a white cast/opacity in my sunscreens, it makes me trust more that it's blocking the sun. I tap on a pink tinted lip balm right over it and my lips look totally normal from there.

Love the SPF!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a huge advocate for wearing sunscreen. These lip balms are amazing! Not only do they really hydrate my lips, but they also have the added benefit of offering SPF! It is so important to protect ourselves from the sun’s harmful rays. I keep one balm at home and the other handy in my purse!

Thick, gritty, unpleasant

This is thick, gritty, and unpleasant. It's so thick it's hard to spread. I tried it, and tossed it out shortly after (ending up buying something else at inflated prices).

Lip Rescue 30+ SPF

Disappointed about 2 things: it left my lips chalky white and I also had a difficult time applying it. My lips were being tugged and pulled just for me to apply this product which isn’t good since the lip area is really sensitive and prone to fine lines. It’s a hard application. Also I understand that some mineral sunscreen will leave a white residue on your skin but others sink in nicely. This product does not. It’s too bad because I had been searching for a lip product that was clean and natural.... free of sulfates, parabenes, petrolatum or any over icky ingredient/chemical. It’s formulated with great ingredients which is why I bought it but was disappointed about those 2 things. It’s embarrassing walking around with white lips and I also don’t want to tug at my lips because that area is fragile.

LOVE natural sunscreen

I love physical sunscreen, since it is better for reefs! I loved this sunscreen (feel and taste), but my lips were pretty white! Be prepared!

Good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have super sensitive skin and lips. I am always looking for a great new lip balm or chapstick because my lips get chapped and dry year round. Not only does this provide moisture but it also provides sun screen for being outside to protect from the weather. It is soft and makes my lips feel moisturized for hours without having to reapply constantly. Fits easily in my pocket and purse and I like the container shape because it makes it easy for me to feel around and find.

Very moisturizing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lip balm has many great qualities. It has SPF 30, it moisturizes my lips really well and keeps them feeling hydrated for a long time, and it is even water resistant if you’re swimming or at a water park. The only thing I don’t love is that this is a true mineral sunscreen, meaning it is of a thicker consistency and leaves a slight white cast. Don’t apply too much as your lips will look white. Otherwise, I recommend for the sun protection offered!

Sun Protection Chapstick!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked this chapstick. I wore it to the lake and didn’t have any issues with sunburn on my lips. The texture once it’s on is also really nice - not gritty or waxy. If you put too much on though, it will tint your lips. My friends asked once if I put lipstick on. Overall great and effective, just be careful with the amount of your worried about the look of it.

Works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lip rescue balm is the perfect lip balm for those that spend a lot of time in the outdoors. It really helps with those dry cracked lips and brings back the moisture all while protecting your lips from the sun with its spf 30. I highly recommend for all those long hot summer days in the sun. Definitely a product that is a must have.
