Best winter jacket
I was very doubtful of this jackets ability to keep me warm in 20 degree weather, especially when I received it. I absolutely hate bulky jackets and this one is so thin, I love it! It's done a fantastic job at keeping me warm in the face of high wind chill and snow. It truly feels as if you just have a light jacket on so you have great mobility. In terms of size, a small fit me perfectly with my measurements being 36-27-36. It's loose enough that I can still wear a sweater under, but not too loose that it doesn't keep the heat in. The worst thing I could say about this jacket is that the down can come out and get on you, but it's really not a big deal. At most you find 1-2 small remnants a day.
Pretty, lightweight, comfortable jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is very nice looking, love the color! Also got the black cherry, which is just as pretty. It is super comfortable to wear, it's lightweight and easy to throw on on a chilly day, not sure I would wear on much colder days though, but could be ok if wearing layers underneath. The fit is good, the color is pretty, had one minor out of place stitch on cuff but I fixed it with scissors, length of arms and hip length is great. For reference I am 5'4" and 160 lbs and got the large. This is one of my go to coats for ease, comfort and look.
Lightweight but warm

She wanted a warm jacket for our Midwest winters, but she didn’t want it too bulky because she would also be carrying a backpack. This is perfect. When she doesn’t need to wear it, she just folds it up and stuffs it in her backpack. The gravel color is great and the silvery lining is cool. She’s 5’3” and petite but got the got the small so she can also wear sweaters and hoodies under it. The jacket has a nice fitted shape and the hood is just the right shape and stays on even on windy days.
Much Warmer Than It Looks
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cannot believe how warm this very lightweight coat is. I live in Minnesota and purchased this for the in-between November weather, when it's too cold for a fleece but not worth it to get out the bulky winter coat. It is a perfect in-between coat, yes, but when I layer it over my Columbia fleece it is just as warm (maybe even warmer?) than my winter coat. In fact I may not get my "real" winter coat out of the closet this year! I didn't realize how annoying the bulky winter coat was until I experienced this non-bulky option. I have the same issue as some of the other reviewers with it being tight around my hips and weirdly loose at my shoulders. However, it still looks really good on me despite the slightly strange fit, and I've had this issue with other Columbia outerwear so I was prepared for it.
Great reflective heat!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] By helping to build a house on a mountain at Catskills, New York in winter, I knew the reflective material works like a magic. When the temperature hit –10 °F there, I started to wrap myself with the insulation building material that has an aluminum foil lining on a corrugated plastic sheet, kinda like how this jacket works. I could tell the warmth was bunching back to my body, and it was warmer than a thick blanket. Long story short, so I had been looking for a jacket like that, and this is exactly what I was looking for. I would wear one more layer over it when it’s below freezing point, but the aluminum reflective lining is the best and the smartest way to keep yourself warm! This jacket won't gets too warm inside and lightweight! The radiant heat gently warms you up. I am always comfortable wearing this jacket.
Warm and lightweight
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is very warm and very lightweight all at the same time, which I love! It's comfortable and not at all bulky to wear. I am a pretty consistent medium in all Columbia wear, so that's what I ordered, but this jacket is more snug in the torso area than my other Columbia jackets. Still keeping it, but I will not have room for thicker/heavier clothing underneath. Overall a great jacket, but consider sizing up if you plan on heavy layers underneath.
Great Coat!
Purchased the Voodoo Falls 590 Turbodown Hooded Coat for my daughter, who attends college in upstate NY. The weather in the winter months can be very frigid.. She requested this coat, since she participates in many hiking and rock climbing trips. The coats design, keeps her warm and its lightweight fit makes it very desirable for the type of activities she enjoys. I would recommend this product to others
Exactly what I was looking for
This jacket was exactly what I was looking for. I'm going to Europe for 30 days in the winter and wanted something easy to pack that would keep me warm. This jacket is perfect, it keeps the heat in without being bulky or uncomfortable. I'm 5 ft tall, 110 lbs and ordered a medium to make sure I could fit a big sweater under it. Would suggest it, worth the price!
Awesome Jacket

Fashionable, warm, very lightweight
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coat is featherlight but quite warm. Bought to replace my old all purpose, down, winter coat and it's performed wonderfully. Actually quite stylish with a scarf. I'm an athletic curvy shape so this jacket hugs my hips while having a bit of excess fabric in the shoulders. Fit could be improved for curvy types but I'm happy with it overall.
