Deeper seat provides better support

The Roadtrip rocker provides good support under the thighs and has a higher back than some of the other GCI rockers. It folds up and is stored in a carry bag, so the feet don't bring dirt into your vehicle or house. People with shorter legs may have a harder time reaching the ground. The rocking mechanism is smooth, though slightly different than the Freestyle Rocker that I also own.

We like it very much

We bought two of these after trying the lower backed GCI Rocker in the store last year. We really like the higher back on these. They are very comfortable to lean back in and rock, although adding a folding footstool is nice too. We have been using them for about two months now but just in our yard and not out camping yet. They don't fold down into a really small package but it's not huge either. However, if you are looking for something really space saving you might want to pass on these. Overall I have no complaints and I recommend these for someone car camping or in your backyard or for a soccer mom. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because that's my personal preference, I don't give things five stars unless they change my world.

Kills my back

Unfortunately, I will return this chair. Very strange angle that offers no lower back support. Even with a lumbar pillow, it's too awkward. I'm disappointed because I was really looking forward to rockin' round the campfire.

rocking the night away

Great chair, very comfortable and folds easy to be put away. Only negative is my wife who is 5.2 and 9 year old are to short to sit in it and rock. So great chair if your taller than 5.2

Not convenient enough to offset weight & shakiness

Love the other GCI Rockers but their biggest flaw is that they don't fold down much (which is a small flaw for how great they are). This one nails the fold down, but is just so heavy and doesn't function as well as the others. It doesn't feel sturdy and the rocking just isn't easy and natural like it is for the others. We returned ours to get a Freestyle rocker to go along with our Firepit rocker.

I love my new rocking chair.

It fits me just right. I am on the shorter side and there is no bar under the knees to make it uncomfortable. I love being able to rock in it. I rarely post online reviews, but this is a wonderful fold up chair that i can keep in my back seat or trunk.

Great and comfortable

Absolute must have for long days at a park or even around the camp fire. Only thing that needs refinement is placement of the the lower lumbar section. For me, it tends to not allow me to sit all the way back. Almost feels like it pushes you out to much. Definitely not something to keep me from using it, but it could use a little more material to thwart this problem.

Rocking by the fire

I have only used it once so far. But I enjoyed it. Pretty comfortable. The only complaint I have is that it makes you sit a little slanted. Other than that. It seems to be a good chair.

Rock till you drop

Great chair with good support. Able to be used anywhere. The rocking is the most fun.
