Compact, light, warm, and affordable.
I was struggling to find a warmer down bag for backpacking that was under $200. I'm petite 5'2" and a cold sleeper. Most sleeping bags are large for me and my 32F bag was not warm enough even in low 40s. I found this bag by chance while on sale and it fita great, always keeps me warm, is very compact and light for backpacking! Highly recommend for petite cold sleeping backpackers.

Not warm enough for me
I really wanted to love this bag. It compresses down to the perfect size for backpacking, it's the perfect length for me (I'm 5'3"), it's super lightweight, and it seems like it would last for decades. However I took it for a test run in my backyard when it dipped down to 32F overnight and I was left shivering all night. I had a wool base layer on with a 4.4 R-value sleeping pad and still had to cover up with a second sleeping bag to get through the night. I run pretty cold so maybe it's just me, but for a 20 degree bag I was expecting to be comfortable in the low 30s. I'd still recommend giving it a shot if you're planning to use it in the 35-45 degree range since it's a really good bag, but if you're sensitive to the cold don't expect it to be comfortable below freezing.

Super comfy and warm for a small adult!

I love this sleeping bag! I am a small female adult (under 5 ft.) and was looking for a down sleeping bag on a budget. Not only is it super comfy and warm, it also takes up very little space and weight in my backpacking pack! It's still fairly new to me but I've taken it with me to Flagstaff, AZ, the Catalina mountains in Tucson, AZ and Mount Baldy, AZ and each time it's kept me snug and warm. The coldest I've used it in is the low 30s. If you'll be using it for backpacking I highly recommend using a different stuff sack to get it down to a really small size. Super satisfied!

AMAZING!

I purchased one for my (at the time) 7yo daughter. I was concerned that I was going to spend the money and she wasn't going to use it. I was wrong, so, so , wrong. She uses it all the time. I then purchased one for my (at the time) 4yo daughter. They have had them a year now and they use them constantly. Camping, overnights at the lake house, sleepovers at friends, backcountry camping, and even in bed sometimes. If you want a warm bag that is down this is the only one you'll need.

Great bag!

I'm a 4'10" female and bought this sleeping bag to save money and save space in my pack. It's lightweight and I've been able to comfortably sleep on the trail and in the mountains in temps down to 25*F. I will confidently use this on my AT thru hike later this year

Comfortable and affordable

I really like my new sleeping bag. I purchased it for a recent backpacking trip, and it was light to carry, packs smalls, and comfortable to sleep in. I am a 5’1” woman, and I fit very comfortably.

Best kids sleeping bag

I have 3 kids. My middle child has this sleeping bag, and every camping trips the oldest and youngest beg him to trade. It’s warm, light, packs very small and the outer liner is very soft and comfortable.

Good fit and warmth

I am 5' 2" and this bag fits me quite well. It doesn't have as much fill as the women's bag (which my husband uses) so I wanted to be sure it would really keep me warm enough. We tested out both bags in our tent in the back yard. Stayed comfy down to 23 F with a light base layer and no hat. I was actually too warm and had to take off my socks early on.

Great Sleeping Bag (not synthetic)

Searched everywhere in Portland, including all the other quality brands and REI was the only place to sell a feather down sleeping bag. Awesome quality and nice to have natural fibres.

the best sleeping bag

I love this sleeping bag. I want to buy another one for my other child. I wish it came in other colors.
