Nice hat; wildly inconsistent sizing
I picked up two of these hats in-store, one in blue and one in grey stripe. The blue one is great. The grey one feels like it’s trying to pop my head like a balloon. I laid them end-to-end and the grey one is a full inch narrower than the blue. I would not recommend buying these unless you can try them on first and make sure the fit works for you. I now own one functional hat for the price of two.
highly recommend
Very insulated. Had issues with the wind (20-30 mph wind is normal) going though my other hats for running or if I got a hat that was insulated enough to keep the wind out, it would make my head too warm or slowly creep up. This did great at keeping my head warm, its not itchy, stays put, and is long enough so that I could put it over my ears and the bottom of my neck (along with a ponytail fitting in there). I loved it so much I got one for my dad (whose bald but doesnt want to admit it) for him to use while he does yard work. highly recommend. I also used it out on the slopes for skiing and it did great out there as well. Thin enough it fit under my helmet but still kept me warm.
mislabeled...
Specs on website say 50/50 acrylic/wool... Actual tag says 70/30 acrylic/wool Ordered online due to "unavailability" and on sale ($9)... Went to nearest store (1hr away) and there was a dozen on the shelf... Gonna use it on my John Muir Trail hike next week...
Good hat for what it is
Nice hat for the price point wish it had more wool (it's 30%). Served me well on my Ireland trip.
Great mid-weight beanie to have.
I’m on the Appalachian trail right now in sept doing the whites. I needed some cold weather gear like gloves and headware. I grabbed one of these beanies and it’s been great. They’re soft and flexible yet thick enough to keep warm. Also the label is on both sides so you can bring the flap down and make it a saggy beanie. Also I have the issue of having a smaller head and a beanie like this ends up covering a bit of my sight and I’ll push the beanie up and it slides back down while hiking. Luckily this beanie fits pretty well and I don’t have that issue. For the price it’s a good deal.

Very comfortable and keeps my head warm. Perfect little basic beanie, nothing more, nothing less. Material is thick enough for fall weather.
Best Beanie Ever
This beanie has been on my head everyday since I brought it home. It is super light and comfortable, but still keeps my large head warm. I have a large/XL size head and it fits nicely. The beanie is stretchy so it doesn’t feel tight on my head like other beanies I’ve had. The color goes well with everything. The material is very soft. I highly recommend this beanie. I plan to run back to REI to get more.

Cozy Hat
While packing for a trip to Alaska I realized that I needed something to wear on my head that would be warm and easy to pack. I ordered online going by the description as I felt it would serve the purpose. The hat is comfy and fits nicely over my head without giving me hat hair! It's easy to stuff in a jacket pocket. Best of all is the price and I ordered both colors as I felt I would be wearing this for many years.
