They're swim trunks.
These are OK, normally don't go for board short style swim trunks but these were available on a day that I needed them. I prefer swim trunks with a liner (support, you know) and these don't have that but they did work and I'm sure they'll get more use.
Patagonia trunks
I have purchased other Patagonia shorts and like these trunks are the most comfortable trunks I have. Most folks don't think of Patagonia for trunks or shorts, but they fit great and above the knee...so you don't look like you are wearing knickers.
Classy, well-made and constant compliments
2 weeks at the beach, sunscreen, saltwater, volleyball sweat, the blazing sun...this pair of trunks shrugs it all off and appear brand new after every wash. The fabric is very soft and dries quickly, LOVE these will definitely buy another pair.
COMFORT, FASHIONABLE, QUICK DRYING
These are the best fitting boardies I've ever owned. The stay put when swimming and fit well even when wet.

Quality of these swim trunks is great but the overall fit not to good runs a little large in the waist and is meant for slim hips and no butt.
