great prusik cord
I use these as a backup on rappel and to have on the harness for emergencies. If buying for an autoblock backup on rappel, I’d recommend the 50cm versus the 60cm because it’s the more appropriate length. I find myself needing an additional wrap with the 60cm due to length and it’s quite a bit of friction. Very nice not to have a big fisherman’s knot.

Sheath failure first use
I purchased these to be be part of crevasse rescue supplies for a trip up Mt Baker earlier this month. They sat on the harness and didn't really get used. Once home, I found that all three that I purchased had sheath failure just past the plastic union protector - see photo. This is obviously from having them fold just past the plastic. If you bought these, check them carefully. Serial # 1 44Z M00E320121 341Y M00E320121 3W25M00E320121

Best of both worlds!

I've carried prusik specific slings for years and most of the time it's just bulk on my harness because they are only certified for prusik use. I was excited to find a sewn prusik that's also certified as a sling as well, increasing the overall usefulness of the cord.

preferred over the tied style

bought this to get away from the double fishermen's knot used to tie the loop, this item is far nicer to rack than the knotted cord style and the knot isn't getting in the way.

great prusik with other uses

I’ve had this for about a year and love not having the weight/bulk of a double fisherman’s on my prusik. Even better that we can use this as a full strength sling in a pinch.

Great for your friction hitch needs

Feels good in the hand and is great for Prusiks, Autoblocks, etc. I've used it loads and am very happy with it. I prefer it to the hollow block and a tied loop.

Great Purchase at a Great Price

Super excited to have this on my harness. Happy and surprised when I opened the box to find a locking carabiner included. :)

Perfect tool for a autoblock

I went looking for 6mm cord, but they were out. Since I needed something immediately for a climb, I spent the extra money and bought this. It’s worth it! Makes setting up a backup autoblock for rappelling super nice.

Confidence

I saw some negative reviews, but friends talked me into still buying this. I like the fact that it is rated higher than other prusik slings at 22 kilonewtons, and this will give me more versatility in use.
