People are using this tool wrong

Used this in a bike shop (used way more than the typical home use) and its fantastic. The fork side of this tool is for removing the core of a shrader valve cores, and the hollow side opposite is for presta valve cores.

Works perfect if you use the correct end.

My bike has tubeless tires with Presta valve stems. I had to remove the valve cores/stems to add sealant. Using the “embedded” end, not the exposed end and it worked perfectly. It is much smaller than I expected which is great for me. Easy to hold well and I think it looks good also. Very happy and good price compared to competitors.

Works as designed, appreciated the grip texture

No problem at all. The tool was easy to grip with greasy/grimmy hands and we were careful to apply it to the valve core straight on because that is what you should do anyway. For $9.00 well worth the money and asset to home tools. No, I wouldn't carry it w me because my tool bag is very tiny and I already have a tool that will suffice for the core removal if needed.

It works

First the core wrench works as it should removing the valve cores to be able to add more sealant. I wish it was smaller and more compact. I thought it was quite expensive for the function, but it was the only thing REI carries. I've only used it on bicycle valves, but it looks like is should work for a Shraeder valve (bicycles and cars).

Tubeless in Paradise?

If you have gone tubeless welcome to the new world. Yes it is possible to do without this tool but why would you? Risking the valve on a pair of needle nose pliers are you kidding? Hey if you are doing a road side repair on a tubeless you already know that you will need bacon and probably sealant too! Just get this tool. I have other similar but this one let’s you get a good grip on that valve when it is stuck, because of the diameter, material () and great fit you can do this in slippery conditions like rain, sweating, oil, etc. with confidence! Kid tested, dad approved!

Wonderfully Overbuilt

How do you take a simple, single-purpose tool and make it better? Feedback added a grip! It's small enough to be functional but big enough to not be easily misplaced. Knurling for secure grip on sealant fused valve cores. At home in your pack and tool box. No, I don't work for Feedback!

Get ‘er done!

After my cheap plastic valve core removal tool bit the dust, I took the $11 plunge to upgrade to this baby. And let me tell you, worth every penny! Gets the job done. Very easy to use. Seems very durable (but can’t 100% attest to this since I’ve had it for less than a month!).

Buy It Now If You Have Tubeless Tires

Just found this product again as I need to buy a new one. I purchased my original 3 years ago and have used it countless times. My buddy liked it so much that I lent it to him and never got it back. Oh well... If you have tubeless tires, this is a must.

Highly useful but not durable

This is an important tool but the metal on the presta end is weak. After only a few uses the socket got chewed up by normal use. Then it would not fit a presta valve core properly and was not reliable.

$9 well spent.

Works perfectly. The negative reviews are puzzling.
